Think sibley will score runs, he’s so sure on his method, just a couple things needs to work on
Sibley will be a mainstay for years imo. Has lots of limitations and isn't a flair batsman but knows his game and plays his shots, it's when he tries to get drawn into being much more expansive he generally finds issues.

With Burns I have a few more doubts with his technique but I would not be considering dropping him for a good while. I think Sibley, Burns and Crawley need a proper go as the top 3 for a decent period. There is hardly anyone banging the door down at the moment.

Sibley needs to stop getting strangled down the leg side mind

yeah Iagree with every word of that tbh

would just say always to keep an open mind with selection

Yeah that is one thing but you would think its something he will be able to overcome.

Yeah obviously things change but at the moment I think these 3 are as good as we have got so lets give them a decent shot at it. Too many times we have chopped and changed the top 3 the last few years just because people don't come in and instantly average 40+.

In England I agree. Sibley looks a bit weak against spin though, so will be interesting to see how he is in the subcontinent in particular. I do like him against the swinging ball though, he does his main job of hanging around and chewing up early deliveries better than anyone we have. Would be nice if he had another gear so it didn’t take him 200 balls to get from 50 to 80 mind, once he’s in and it settles down a bit.

Can see why they like Crawley

plays spin well, good off thst back foot

things more suitedto test rather thancounty cricket

needs to make sure he can score hard runs like somebody like Vince couldn’t

yeah absolutely

I don’t think you will get loads of test plsyers averaging over 40 in England at the minute to be honest
