Beyond me why you'd want Archer (who's been rather hot and cold after the Ashes last year - prolonged periods of medium fast mediocrity) as your only bowler who can potentially pose a threat when the pitch flattens out in a 5 man attack. Can't do much about the spin department but you can't pick Woakes & Broad & Anderson all together. Yet they still do it. They knew the weather forecast. Baffling.
It’s a bit weird how archer has somehow got this reputation as being rapid. Apart from his first few tests he sits around 84-88mph, he’s a very good bowler but far from some kind of express pace merchant he is billed up to be.Beyond me why you'd want Archer (who's been rather hot and cold after the Ashes last year - prolonged periods of medium fast mediocrity) as your only bowler who can potentially pose a threat when the pitch flattens out in a 5 man attack. Just had a decent bet on them half hour/45 mins ago at 5/2.Shit captaincy from Root, let Pakistan right off the hook after Lunch and is now letting this game drift. Pakistan are 2/1 and that is a f***ing great price. If they get 300, we’re fucked.

I quite like archer, especially in the one day format. I also have no issue with him being in the test team but the issue is he’s put in the bracket of a real quick who can come on and bowl express spells, he isn’t that at all at the moment and hasn’t been in a good while.I don’t get it either. If you want express pace, tell him to crank it up and bowl him in 3/4 over blasts of 90mph plus OR pick Wood. If you want innocuous right arm over, between 80-85mph - you’ve got Woakes, pick another batsman.
Only forecast to rain for half hour or so today and rest of week looks good. Also main reason is due to the on site hotel.God knows why the chose one of the wetest areas in England to be the venue bubble for test cricket
He's dropped 2 catches in 2 years
Nobody catches everything on any wicketHis keeping is generally fine but on flat wickets you need to take every chance you get and he's put one down. If he struggled with that one I cant imagine he'd be great on turning pitches in the subcontinent
A scene in the film fletch he calls himself mr babar at the doctors office it’s quite funny....moon river!!I always think of the Beach Boys' tune, Barbara-Anne ('Babar Azam, Babar Azam ... You've got me ...').
Because there's a hotel in the ground.God knows why the chose one of the wetest areas in England to be the venue bubble for test cricket

It's a shame Ramiz Raja can't be here
She's excellent.I think Ebs is really good.
It's been raining here since they went off at OT, still really heavy.Rain blew through here on a few minutes, hopefully not off for long.
Hadn't realised that tbh. Suprised only 2 have hotels on siteBecause there's a hotel in the ground.
Ditto in Southampton. Why those grounds picked to host all the international cricket.
Jimmy looks finished
