[1st Test] England v Pakistan (Old Trafford)

Absolute shit from England. You’d think they hadn’t played any Test cricket recently.

Groundsman can fuck off too, Pakistan have two leggies, so he produces a dry pitch which will turn square come the weekend.

As if we’d rock up in Lahore and get a geeen seamer

Yep, they always do this against Pakistan. Always schedule them for the Summer, serve up dry ptiches. Field like Pakistan on a bad day for the whole series.

It's so excruciatingly predictable from England.

Root should’ve told the umpires to fuck off when they said you have to bowl spin too.

Flat pitch, Day 1, a mediocre spinner and a part-timer - why give Pakistan the initiative?

Another team, like the windies, who we always make look far better than they are (doesn’t have to be a dry pitch either they’ve done us on more “English” type pitches before).

They get battered when they turn up in Aus, SA and NZ

Don’t disagree but wouldn’t look a bad decision if buttler takes that chance.

I don’t get it either. If you want express pace, tell him to crank it up and bowl him in 3/4 over blasts of 90mph plus OR pick Wood. If you want innocuous right arm over, between 80-85mph - you’ve got Woakes, pick another batsman.
Root seems to think he's a 6-8 over bowler, bowled him into the ground in South africa

True and I don’t think last summers workload will have helped either.

Just awful captaincy, I’d love to know what the coaches are saying in team meetings too.

I don’t get it, we’ve got enough seam bowling in our squad to play 3 plus Archer and they can share the workload while he bowls rockets.

Couldnt really be doing with Moeen. All that shite about having to play another twirler so he didn't feel pressure as the front line spinner.

Not exactly the man you'd want with the Ashes on the line on a final day turner.
