June to July 2020 - NUFC

It'll happen, within the next 2 weeks it'll be approved. They're also in talks to buy a big north eastern company.. I'll leave that at that.

Nice to see that the person who thought Grayson was better than Benitez is still posting about us every day, madness how people still take his opinions as valid.

Anyway, and I mean this in good will. I've heard rumours of SD talking to people who represent an consortium in Dubai, specifically one who has been linked with NUFC (Hence me hearing about it) - they have the $$ no doubt, just waiting for the recent valuations of the land owned / complications with regards to the dell lot, I'm told.

Edit: For those who doubt me look back on my posts, years ago I said Sauidi would be taking over NUFC. Just 1 post then i ignored the lot. They looked at alot of clubs prior but settled on NUFC, Staveley has zero influence.

BZG are now looking at SAFC because they realise that in 2/3 years they'll be an expensive commodity, as rival to NUFC.

The takeover of NUFC is a good thing, itll bring jobs and opportunities to the the north east. Like it or not.
So you believe we are both going to be taken over by new owners from the Middle East?

It might indicate that many fans of many different clubs don’t care about NUFC. But the fact there are now 500 pages on a Sunderland forum makes the point ‘NO-ONE cares’ null and void

I think that was the exact point people were making, that 'outside of the NE no one cares about NE football'. I include SAFC in that as well as NUFC.

That was purely the Benitez factor. Crowds dropped to 37k on 2 or 3 occasions under Houghton despite being clear favourites for the title. Picked up when started winning a few games.

10k.sacked it off last season as lower half of premier league not good enough.
Imagine the crowds had they not went straight back up, or if they'd gone down to the 3rd division.

There's a thread on Grand Old Team dedicated to Newcastle United running over hundred of pages.

I actually had to Google that to find out what it was. I've never understood the NUFC / Everton antipathy, but just because there's big threads on us on NUFC boards, and big threads on you on here and an Everton board doesn't refute the statement that outside of the NE not many people give a shit about NE football teams.

I can keep googling other clubs and showing that Newcastle have threads on them, or at least the takeover story is talked about.

Either nobody cares and thus they won't have an opinion, or they do care and thus have an opinion.

But you care enough to read and comment on a thread specifically about NUFC

They are really comparable like. Sad bastard

UEFA recognise the Intertoto though. Which Newcastle won. Can see what a bind it is for Sunderland fans.

One I'm sure Barca, Real and Liverpool are still gutted they never won

He would but he got hounded off their for being the clown he is

Did they qualify for it by finishing 10th ? Any teams withdraw from it at the 1/4 stage when they won it?

Actually, I was wrong, they won it 3 times!

Some impressive clubs on the winners list - very prestigious tournament - More highly rated than the Cup winners Cup IIRC.
