Am I missing something with the Fiona Apple record? It is okay but I don't see what makes it stand out. I think it peaks with the first track! Only one listen like.

It’s nothing more than a fairly ok album. This perfect 10 from pitchfork is ridiculous

Aye that was my thought on first spin. Maybe pitchfork need those clicks in this time of crisis...

I've just been listening to Four Tet and his boiler room set again. It has somehow rolled onto Jamie XXs which I'm enjoying. Can you recommend any recent records in similar vein? (appreciate these aren't records)

Fuck me lockdown is boring. Really feeling it this weekend.

Which one have they given it to recently? I've looked at their spotify perfect 10 (listening to hummer from Siamese dream now - love that song).

It is boring now mate, any novelty there was has long gone.
Four tets new studio album from a couple of weeks back was very good. Similar stuff recently from George Fitzgerald, Max Cooper, Wrangler, Tornado Wallace have been very good.

Also mate, every day the Test Pressing website put a guest daily mix called stay home & chill. Some really good stuff.

They also pick a random old album each Sunday mate and review. I remember they give Springsteen - Nebraska / dr Dre - the chronic / Prince - 1999 a 10 also.

If anyone is looking for something that isn't remotely on the hipster's choice menu, Marillion's debut album "Script For A Jester's Tear" has had a deluxe re-release. It's as uncool but magnificent as it was on its release in 1983. They've been shite since Fish left, of course.
