Why is it...

I was wondering how long this would take to go back to the "man-made virus" schtick the OP had thoroughly debunked on the other thread...

I'm sorry if I'm using a bit of critical thinking in this crisis and dont feel the measures reflect the situation.

I'm also sorry to say people die every day from various things. To lock down the plant and kill the economy will do far more damage. What about the vulnerable people with mental issues who cant handle what's going on? How many suicides will there be from this lockdown.

Pneumonia is a scourge of society and kills loads every year. Nearly 70 thousand under 15s died every month around the world in 2017. Why didn't we go on lockdown ages ago?

Look mate. I'm not saying there isnt anything out there. We should be concerned and acting accordingly. This virus has shown to be more virulent in the elderly and people with underlying conditions. Anyone who is normally fit will shrug off the symptoms with help.
This is a different cookie. I agree that pneumonia kill millions every year and will carry on to do so but not many fit people in the developed world die from it, not many fit and healthy front line staff die from pneumonia but the viral load of this is killing people that shouldn’t die.
It’s been a tough winter for deaths before this and it’s set to get loads worse.
Do you really think this tight fisted gov would be spending all this time, effort and coin if the threat wasn’t very very real?
I have spent the last 2 weeks frailty scoring patient with many many many of the ones with high scores expected to have a very poor time ahead

It's funny how anyone not wanting to stick to the official narrative is made out to be a loon. I most certainly am not. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this.
Nobody thinks you're a loon mate. I believe people should always scrutinise the mainstream media and the government. Not everyone does though so critical thinkers like yourself are a truly welcome edition to society as a whole imo. The trick is putting your findings across in an intelligent way otherwise the sheep will rip you to bits.

I'm a pharmacist who's been working 80 hour weeks for last few.

Theres a reason why the government downgraded the current crisis on March 19th. Just before the lockdown.

It wasn't 'downgraded'. The definition was changed so that any hospital can treat it instead of only specialised units according to the criteria that definition specified.

Must be nice to be a pharmacist with ready access to drugs
haway man its a cry for help, don't start suggesting he is nicking the supplies. It takes an intelligent person to reason with someone.

This post shows that the mental health issues will be an on going problem when this all ends. The longer it goes on the harder it will be to recover from.
People will be suicidal and/or murdering others if this lock down continues until the end of the year

How does the post reflect on his mental health?
