I think he is suffering in your opinion through what his actual job is. He isn't a Pirlo type player spreading passes all over the shop and splitting defences all the time and yet still on a number of occasions he spread the play very well and even unlocked the defence with a through ball on Saturday.
You know I disagree Rocky so won't labour the point but I think with a bit more confidence in his own ability he will continue to develop. You saw him grow in stature when he started to drive with the ball on Saturday, such is our position that dribbles and passes that go wrong can see a player play a bit safe.

You could say that about 90% of midfield players anywhere in the world.
He released people in the wide positions to get balls into the box, it wasn't all negative passing.

I would have agreed 10 games ago, I couldn't see what he contributed. However I admit I was wrong and he's changed my opinion, more effective than Power and I like how he looks to quickly change play with a crossfield pass. Plus he has lovely greasy hair.
