It's all just one big home. Imagine if you were born somewhere like Syria. I'm sure you'd want better for you and your family.

It's interesting you use the term nice and almost imply those coming in and somehow inferior or not nice. And you also use the term richly cultured to mock, when plenty born here are about as far from cultured as you can get.

Would you be fine living in Millfield /St Marks road amongst them all ?

I agree with you mind we are all human beings and should all be allowed to move about freely as we wish .Its the ones that come here and take the piss that should be shippped back where they belong along with all of their family.

The Scandinavian countries are in turmoil due to unchecked immigration .Germany /France /Greece /Italy and the Uk to different degrees have underlying issues aswell .

Cos they didn't grow up like we did. A lot of them grew up in 3rd world shitholes. This is the ultimate blindspot for people who don't appreciate the rest of the world is not the same as us. For most of the world the way we live, act and behave is not the norm.

And? You can be from anywhere and still be a decent person. In the same way people from so called nicer places can be absolute scum.

Decent is relative... in some countries they think killing homosexuals is the only decent thing to do.

Well unless they want to kill people for just being homosexual and are in massive numbers its not that much of a problem.

But you have to consider what it's like growing up in countries where crime is rampant and people think western countries are the immoral ones.

Bringing those people here by the boatload doesn't make the world a better place. It just makes our country a worse place.

This is the trade off we have. Mass immigration is not just "great for the economy" it's also very damaging to quite a lot of peoples lives.

Where is that stat from? All of the evidence I can find is that serious crime in Sweden is actually declining, with the exception of sexual offences - and that has been attributed to campaigns to encourage reporting together with changes in the law to broaden the definition.

I don't think it's a space issue at all and, as @Roger has said above, where do you get the information to make that claim about Sweden? I'm not averse to debate about immigration and wouldn't have a particular problem with some form of control.

Thats the one,you don't cherry-pick which country your fleeing to if your a genuine,note that word GENUINE refugee,your just glad to have reached a safe port,any safe port.The number of people who come here in the back of a lorry or in a boat fleeing the war in france or Belgium,and people say they are desperate and are fleeing persecution 🤣
