Wrong.

Of course he could. He was clearly our best player. Posters/fans are intent on re-writing history and as ever come up with a list of excuses to support their view.

I agree, was brilliant last year, won us countless points and played with a broken ankle

Him leaving weakens us! No idea what he’s like off the pitch mind

No it wont cos we got nowt anyway our transfer budget is for wages not fees, but the Don said we didnt need any outgoings before we got incomings, he did ye knar
3 more in by end of window and 4 out.

Can't see him going anywhere until the window shuts. At that point, we'll sort a deal to pay him out of his contract and he'll leave as a free agent. Clubs will then start offering him deals. We are in a weak negotiation position.

If we release him after the window shuts he won't be able to register with another team until 1st June, or whenever the season 'resets'.

Things can change but on Saturday I heard from a good source that McGeady is not planning on going anywhere.

He has never had words with or fallen out with PP
The issue is supposed bullying (as has been reported) but he denies it
He loves living in his house on the Ramside golf course. His kids are very happy at school in Belmont, he's on £30k a week and has 18 months left on his contract. He doesn't want to go anywhere else.

Don't shoot the messenger.

I'd be beyond astounded if he was on anywhere remotely near 30k a week mind.

This will be right.

It's almost like he has learned from Jack Rodwell and others isn't it? Shock horror

That is the most ridiculous comparison that I have ever heard. A player who was our best player last season and arguably is still our most talented, who took a pay cut to stay....then becomes the scapegoat. Christ sake, 95% of us wanted Parky out a month ago as we were playing some of the worst football that I have ever seen us play. McGeady has obviously fallen out with the manager and been sidelined but to compare him to Rodwell is nothing short of madness. Fickle lot are football fans.

Why hasn’t he left the club ?
He’s been available since before the window opened and every club knows that.
Are we gonna end up with him staying put, out of favour, and paying his wages?
some on here will not have it but HE TRIED to get back into the 1st team squad last week but was knocked back.
We will struggle to get rid of him unless it's abroad

Mate he may or may not have disciplinary issues, but to mention him in the same post as Rodwell does you a disservice and him an injustice. He did more for us in one game when playing his best than Rodwell did in the entire 4 years he was here.
