Pubs banning mobiles

Im considering banning them at my place. I can guarantee every time I go to speak to a certain member of staff, as soon as I start talking, his f***ing mrs will be on the phone to him...They do my tits in.

Teed, you're talking shit, like. The address is attached to the order, the company sending the pizza don't keep your address. I know how these kind of apps are made and how the data is sent.
This is correct. The ticket comes out the Just Eat machine and the shop just make the food and send it out. They have no input.

I recently delivered to a bloke (maybe someone off here?) and it was £9.35. The correct action in this scenario is to pay a tenner (yes, many people still pay cash) and say keep the change. This bloke gave me £10.50 so I thought “That’s nice he’s bumped the tip up to a quid”, but as I walked away he goes “any chance of my quid back?”. The tight fucker. Needless to say he’s getting the cold bag next time.

I only tip people who don't assume

Was in one of their establishments before Christmas, in Whitby and one of our party was politely asked to stop using their mobile.

Had a chat with the manager about it all and he confirmed it was company policy and that spot checks were done which could result in him losing his job and the pub ultimately being closed down.

There were plenty of other places to go that you could use your phone and I found this a refreshing change.

They are banned at our place, but nobody takes a blind bit of notice.

Right, first point - if you order over the phone, you give your number and the driver gets it if they need to call you. That’s always been the case - how else do they contact you if there’s a problem? With just eat all they get is a code. They have to ring just eat and input the code to be connected to your phone. So I’m correct in saying it’s clart on. Not much,

Second point, dunno what the fuck you’re taking about. I said I have evidence. I asked you to show me a driver who likes just eat.

No, that’s a good thing

Pre internet ordering I never had a driver call me or supplied my number as it was never asked for so I can categorically say they have greater access to contact me than in the dark old 'cardless' days.

Your second point, you didn't just say show me a driver you wanted me to supply evidence (on the internet) than that evidence further expanded on with reasoning.

Show me one driver who’s in favour of it and get get them to explain why.

That's not how recorded evidence works.

Is it because it means they have to deliver peoples food more often?

^ rattled.
^ Wrong

Every takeaway I’ve ever ordered has asked for my phone number since the dawn of time. It’s the first thing they ask for. They’re not going to send stuff out with no way of contacting you man. Somebody back me up on this?

I said I had empirical evidence (ie my own experiences) to back up my claims. I didn’t ask you to supply any evidence, I said show me a driver who likes Just Eat.
I don’t know why you’re arguing about this anyway. If you’re a driver, tell me something good about JE, apart from not having to faff about with cash at the door. If you’re not a driver, shurrup as you don’t know what goes on. :D

I was a right sad bastard and took a photo of my breakfast yesterday, I wouldn’t do that normally but my mates Mrs is Scottish and I got some haggis.
I had a bowl of Bami Goreng with a fried egg on top and sent a photo of it to my son. His girlfriend is Indonesian and she was very impressed by it. She thought I'd made it but it was a heat up from Lidl. I did fry the egg though. I wonder if Lidl do a Rendang. :)
