wrong, his commentary is abysmal. when he's not coughing or getting mixed up, he's so depressingly down and dull it makes us sound bad even when we're playing well. I actually prefer Safsee without commentary, just crowd noise, like you have when you're at the match.

I had the MK Dons commentary on mine today & they were quite good

So because my opinion doesn’t align with yours I’m in the wrong? I’ve seen enough football in the last 30 years to form my own judgements and my own judgements come from a full 18 games under Parkinson that I’ve seen every minute of, combined with a good knowledge of the skill bases of our squad and what they are and are not capable of. Just because it disagrees with you does not mean I am wrong. 6 games isn’t a lot to base an opinion on.
Only in the same way that you think I'm wrong because I disagree with you. However you do sound very like someone who is highly unlikely to change his opinion even when he is wrong so I'll stop banging my head against this particular brick wall

Stats like this will be pretty much meaningless for a while because his start was so bad and this run of form is very good. We have some cancelling out to do.

Such is the league table if we keep current form up we will most likely get promoted. The more games we sustain it then it looks like a new trend rather than a blip.
Agreed.
Was just showing the correct number of league games under his tenure, as a poster was including cup games to show a potential points/league tally.
He had a dreadful start, but he had 6 cup games to deal with in his first 4 weeks, when he was still assessing the squad, including seeing the negative impact of a senior player.

One game at a time, but this current form should be pleasing everybody.

Well said. But at present we can’t know if it’s a trend or a blip. I’ve said on other threads I’d give credit when this goes on for a while longer, as at present and based on my experiences in the game it looks more like a blip. Hope he does prove me wrong.

After Doncaster & Fleetwood, even Lincoln, I was skeptical. We've seen little runs of form from this squad before that don't last and don't put an end to us throwing away games.

The last two results combined with the mostly good performances, first half today and in parts at Fleetwood aside, give me some hope that it's a more fundamental change. This system seems to suit us very well at present and we've had the same team or near enough on the pitch. Injuries are a worry, but hopefully we can add some suitable back up in this window.

I'm well aware it could revert to earlier form, but at some point you've got to give them credit for the run they're on and not just keep looking back.

I agree it suits them better. What I can see happening, especially away, is us getting pinned like in the first half today, when we essentially revert to a very negative 5-4-1 which becomes hoofball.
FFS, unbeaten in 7 and 3 wins in a row is a ‘blip’ 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Do you understand how statistics works?

I can't believe we're still in with a shout to be honest, Ipswich collapse etc have given us a chance we should have already lost. Hope they can capitalize on it.

Interestingly without the cup games he may have taken twice as many league games to get them playing, and then we would be completely out of it.

If we weather the storm and come out with a result like today, and are playing teams off the park at home I can live with that.

Here is the form

after 25 games safc are in 6th place, 6 points of the top two, with one game in hand

thats a pretty much accurate statistically breakdown of the season so far

Sure. If we continue to do that. Not sure we would have got away with that first half against better teams though.

We were crap first half but more than decent second. Realistically, should have had three - Ozturk missed an open goal with a header and there were two clearances off the line were neither of our guys struck the ball properly.

Gooch’s goal was as good as anything I saw from Super Kev (part from the Chelsea at home goal!!)

Finally, saw enough of Lafferty that he is going to be a complete pest in this league.

Pleased I went!
