why everyone is angry at meghan markle

Did you not see all of the negativity about ‘Waite Katie’ before she married? The taunts about not having a real job and just working for her family? She has shown that she isn’t too work shy and changed the public perception of her over the past few years.
Kate, Fergie, even (gasp) Diana were given a hard time. Royal fans are a tough crowd.

I'm not feeling the racism accusations. If anything the royals were more accommodating than usual. Having to sit through Bishop Michael Curry's speech for one.

Kate got nowhere near the vitriol Meghan has, the poke link earlier in the thread is a perfect example of the press the press taking different slants with the same circumstances between the two.

It took Fergie sucking some blokes toes to get stick, and it still wasn't as bad as what Meghan has gotten.

Diana got hounded, and it got her killed, but she was the "people's princess" and "queen of hearts" she got plenty of positive press, Charles and Camilla got the shitty end of the stick there.

So if its not race, and I'm not convinced it is completely that either, what is it?

Charles was humping horse face all the time.
The queen didn't want horse face to be the mother of her grand kids so they use Diana.
Diana shags Hewitt and along comes ginge.

I'm guessing you don't remember the "Duchess of Pork" headlines referring to her up and down weight, her spitting image puppet or the headline that 82% of British blokes would rather fuck a goat!

I don't remember the goat one.

She did end up f***ing off across the pond too though. ;)
This. Both Fergie and Camilla have taken far more stick than Meghan, imho.
There's a reason for Camilla, she was blamed for breaking up a marriage and causing the (was it the first?) divorce of a future monarch.

What has Meghan done to "earn" it really?

Great analysis there marra.

I think these racism accusations are at best convenient and at worst a slur against anyone who's actually experienced racism in the UK.

As I saw it everyone loved her during the royal wedding. If there was any racism then I didn't see it.

Even when her own family started slating her the GBP had sympathy because they looked like a bunch of wranguns.

It was about the time when there was reports of staff quitting, tensions with Willy, MM making Kate cry then her f***ing off to Frogmore when opinion turned against her.

All of that is media coverage marra, why the negative spin on everything?

"person hands in notice" is a non-story, it will happen all of the time with Palace staff. But they can make her a witch so class.

We don't know whether the Kate story is real or not, she could cry all the time over owt.

Speaking of Frogmore that could have easily been "Harry and Meg restore neglected and dilapidated historical home" with a press that wasn't keen on pushing the anti-Meg narrative.

Side by side comparisons with similar stories about Kate and Meg have very different spins.

If she's holding her bump there's something wrong with her, Kate is motherly.

She's accused of poisoning kids with wedding flowers, or risking her unborn child by eating avacado on toast, the same stores had a different spin when it was Kate.

Why that coverage? Why that spin?

It could be as simple as negative stories about her getting more hits, comments, and social media shares than positive ones, if it was my Mrs I probably wouldn't see it that way though.

If she was as pale as Taylor Swift I think the coverage would be similar, I'm not convinced it would be if she was mixed race British though.

There was plenty of negative coverage in the run up to the wedding.

"Harry and Meg use our money to restore neglected and dilapidated historical home'

She’s a pain in the arse who knew that she’d be under media scrutiny but doesn’t complain about the trappings of royalty.

The British don’t like hypocrites.
That's a perfectly legitimate position.

It doesn't answer my question about the coverage of this particular royal, who has decided to fuck off, though.
The British love to have a boo-boy or girl.

I don’t know what the real reason is but, many females would be disgruntled by Harry getting married as that meant they would have no chance of becoming a Princess. Sounds stupid, but that could be sufficient to start the bitching on the online forums.

Secondly, she is American and behaves like an American towards Harry. So lots of touching, making doe eyes at him, holding his hand and generally acting as though he is God, rather than just a man. Think about how Trump insists on holding Melania’s hand. In this country we are used to our wives standing on their own two feet and not gazing up at their man in wonder no difference whether he is Prime Minister or a road sweeper. I will be honest and say that I’m in this camp.

When she was pregnant she would hold her bump at the top and bottom as though she was protecting it. Why? Did she think someone would come and steal it? It’s the way actresses behave when they are having a fake pregnancy for a role. A simple pat every now and then is sufficient for most women.

Then we come to the business with her family. I sort of discounted this as I saw it as being a young child not really seeing her older siblings very much and not having much connection to them, even though they were devoted to her. Who knows, but many would chalk that up against her whether justifiably or not.

The way she holds Archie in public, looks awkward and over protected. It’s almost as though she feels that she has to cover him from the public view in case someone shoots him. This behaviour will enrage the Diana lovers who desperately want to see Diana’s grandchild.

I don’t think that it’s any one thing that has riled people, there was ample goodwill towards the couple at the time of their engagement and wedding so it has to be a cumulative increase in dislike for her over time exacerbated by current events which rightly or wrongly are being placed at her door.

Finally! Prior to his engagement I rarely saw Harry frowning or stressed. He appears to be constantly so since his marriage.

The could be something in that at a certain level.

That's from yesterday:

There are hundreds of photos of Will and Kate holding hands or looking at each other lovingly, they aren't slated for it.

I think you're out of touch here tbh, most people hold their Mrs hand at times, it's odd if you don't.

When she was pregnant she would hold her bump at the top and bottom as though she was protecting it. Why? Did she think someone would come and steal it? It’s the way actresses behave when they are having a fake pregnancy for a role. A simple pat every now and then is sufficient for most women.
Holding a bump wrong, give your head a shake man.

She probably has a better idea of what will make a good photo given her acting and modelling experience, it's not really a good reason to give her pelters.

Then we come to the business with her family. I sort of discounted this as I saw it as being a young child not really seeing her older siblings very much and not having much connection to them, even though they were devoted to her. She's from a broken home and isn't that close to her half siblings, it happens. It's not really anyone's fault, but if there's blame it lies with her parents (and I guess step mother).

I think what's happened reflects more poorly on them than her though.

I'll just leave this here, genuinely don't see an issue with any of these photos:

There was a boat load of negativity in the press in the run up to her wedding.

Why the death by a thousand cuts?

Finally! Prior to his engagement I rarely saw Harry frowning or stressed. He appears to be constantly so since his marriage.
Compared to coverage today you rarely saw Harry. I searched for "Prince Harry Stress" and he's grinning like the Cheshire Cat in half of them with Meghan lurking in the background.
