Aston Villa Splashing the Cash

As is Maguire but I bet that doesn’t bother you.

It wasnt difficult being villa best player yesterday but someone had to be and it just happened to be Grealish.

We’ve all been young with Ropey hairstyles. No issue with it.
Not sure what your problem is to be fair but you are being a bit of a dick.
Maguire wasnt playing yesterday for Villa or City was he??....

I don't think it's all black and white. We are trying to play football which is all I can ask after a decade of cloggers and anti football managers. I think what's really clear is that we lack quality. Players like Elmo, Taylor, Lansbury, Hourihane etc. and probably Trez, are just championship quality, and not even good championship quality. So when playing one of the top top teams in Europe it doesn't surprise me we get spanked. It's also a total lack of squad depth. Not having a striker on the pitch is unacceptable unfortunately.
We need a lot of investment and a few years of just stabilising before getting too critical.

I still think we can stay up. We are fighting for the 17th which is what most fans expected, but it's rather annoying to see us playing without a striker, so hopefully that stuff is sorted sooner rather than later.

How come Villa have not been bought by a mega rich consortium? I dislike villa on many levels by the way :)

I don’t mind Bruce. I think he had a bit of an hard time at Villa and had a lot going on in his personal life. The football was shite mind. I don’t like Newcastle at all. Over hyped club and one of their ***** spat a bit greeny on me once which put the icing on the cake.
Probably Jardine that hockled on you mate.

Maguire plays for Sunderland, I just assumed you’d know that with it being a Sunderland forum.

You obviously don’t like these players that dive about which is fine. You’d prob best keep ya eye out for when Sunderland are playing though as I don’t think you’ll take to Maguire too much.

Saying that it’s apparently just a bit of ‘shithousery’ when maguire acts the goat. Cheating when others do it though.

What you on about an agenda? He is a diving little cheat but a class above anything Villa have. Cut that out of his game and he will be one of the best players in the PL.

Being Villa's best player yesterday wasn't difficult

ps his hair is a disgrace though
He’s the most fouled player in his PL by some distance.

Clearly they’re all dives though and all those refs and VAR reviews are wrong and they should all bow to your superior knowledge

Three of their next four league games are Brighton, Watford and Bournemouth. While the heavy defeat yesterday has dented their goal difference, these are the sort of games they need to be winning.
Watford doing well under Pearson

watched them yesterday and they looked very competitive

I am aware of him thanks

It bears no reference to Grealish and him cutting it out to be one of the best midfielders in PL (something which will never be atrributed to Chris Maguire). I dont particularly like anyone who goes quicker than a cheap tart. It devalues the game

You are a bit strange to be honest. Clearly an axe to grind but why you would pick on something i posted about Grealish is weird and then drag Maguire into it is even more bizarre. Hopefully your carer has given you your meds now and taken the laptop/phone/tablet back off you

Not all dives but its coincedence that Zaha is no.2 who also likes a bit of amateur dramatics

He does throw himself to the floor a lot but it’s hardly exclusive to him.
People don’t like him as he has a bit of a reputation and he’s a pretty boy so the pot bellied brigade immediately take a dislike to him.
Beckham suffered the same sort of jealousy from people as well.
Green eyed monster a terrible thing.

It does though as you will no doubt like Maguire despite his antics yet slag off another player for similar stuff.
At least try and be consistent.

FWIW I have no problem with any of it, it’s a means to an end and is now just part of the game. Get an advantage by any means necessary as the opposition wouldn’t think twice about doing it.

They're not big enough for thw PL. Their attendances will soon drop as they always do. They're a championship club at best. Wolves and West Brom are the clubs on the up in that area of the UK.

Nope i dont like it. As said previously devalues the game regardless of who it is. maybe you should read post again to see i have been 100% consistent. Diving is bad for the game (including SAFC players)

You've just had a huge increase in TV income, and you've blown at all at once, just on fees. You haven't paid a penny of the extra wages you've just committed to. You only get that increase once. You're perilously close to breaching FFP anyway. You won't be able to repeat this trick next season, even if you stay up. And if you do a Fulham, you're essentially fucked. And all to get your arses tanned more often than not. When are people finally going to cotton on to how rigged and broken the PL is as a sporting competition?
Transfer fees are paid in stages, not in one up front sum.

Should the worst happen and we were relegated, we’d have circa £150 million from sales of our 3 star players and that isn’t counting parachute payments.

We are comfortable and will not be fucked no matter what happens.

No you wouldn't as you yourself said 2 seconds above, transfer fees are paid i stages

I'm not sure you would be fucked, but instantly players will lose value, Grealish 50 million, can't see anyone paying more than what you paid for mings who I think is massively overrated, mcguinn you might get 40 million if you are lucky. They will be paid in instalments which you would then have to pay out for all your other instalments, then you would have to get a few players in, your wage bill will be bigger than it was last season. If villa go down the club will be a mess and there will be a huge rebuilding job whichever way you look at it

Our owners have very deep pockets. IF a player was to leave, it would be on their terms or not at all.
