Thing is no-one really knows if any of the others would have worked out, but I can't see how they'd have been worse. Stendel for me was someone who would have got the fans on board, tried to be more attacking and put teams on the back foot. Instead we're left with someone so negative and devoid of any ideas that it was painfully obvious that he wasn't going to be the right appointment. Seems like only Donald, Methven and 14 others from this board thought otherwise.

659 votes, and a whopping 14 (of which are least one is a mag) thought this was the right bloke for the job. I know fans aren't always right but fuck me, I've never known someone be so universally unpopular, especially given he was strongly linked (at which point you'd think some might just back him because he seemed likely and they wanted to seem supportive). He just never seemed the right fit; in terms of style of play given the players we've got, in terms of his character (we wanted someone with passion, who would boost the fans and get us excited, he certainly isn't that), in terms of the impact he has on clubs initially (very rarely does he start well, and we needed a bounce to have any hopes of getting the season back on track). Just a crazy decision and one which, for me, has proved beyond all doubt that Donald cannot run this club

We fought so hard to rid the club of the losing mentality and with one appointment ‘after a rigorous interview and referencing process’ we’ve appointed someone who literally reeks of defeat. He’s turned us from top 10 needing a lift to mid table plucky underdogs. He should be dismissed immediately as a bad job.

Agreed, seems like it's worse that that though we're 19th in the form guide over the last 10 games and I'm not sure how it will suddenly get better. I think our only potential option if they stick with him is to limp through to January and have an outstanding transfer window which is easier said than done.

Look at the next 4 fixtures.

Can only see 1 pt against Bolton. :(:(

Blackpool H 14 Dec
Bolton H 26 Dec
Doncaster A 29 Dec
Fleetwood A 1 Jan

Lincoln H 4th Jan. Last game as the crowd pillory him and force his departure (If he hasn't gone before)
The owner previously owned a pub team and took away the free bottles for the players to save £500.
What are we talking about here?! He's massively out of his depth at a club of this stature.
If the Americans don't buy the club and put experienced men in charge, we're doomed.

Bottles of what ?

So 8 games in and you want him sacked.

Jesus. You call us deluded.

WTF is going to come? Who could you possibly get?

What is deluded about wanting rid of a man no-one wanted and who is doing horrifically? His win percentage is 18%.
Think of the worst Sunday team you've ever seen and you'll have an idea of what this man's idea of "football" is.

Let me ask you, what were your motives for voting for him?

Well his ownership is enough to make you want to hit the bottle, so to be fair, that's probably not a bad shout on his part.
