Non League Football

I will be there also. Nothing on twitter or club website to suggest game in doubt. I would expect a larger than usual crowd perhaps up to 2000. I was at the second vase game at Morpeth as well as the first. I thought both teams played the game in a sporting fashion with no animosity between supporters which considering the prior generator failure was a credit to both teams. At the time I thought Shields should have taken the moral high ground and conceded the tie. No one of course agreed !

Shields match postponed.

I agreed, thought Shields should have done that.

Why can’t Morpeth just look back fondly on their Wembley win in 2016 instead of trying to find conspiracy theory’s about the floodlight failure and the f.a. Rules regarding such events. UTM

I am not suggesting a conspiracy theory. I only suggested that Shields should have conceded the tie. But the FA ordered a replay. Both clubs played the replay without a problem

Good chance we could be on TV for the replay. 1st rd replay tv money was £33750 per team, I'd imagine a similar amount per team for the 2nd round replay IF selected. Winner of the tie also gets £54000 then the possibility of anything in round 3. Lots of ££ up for grabs for Hartlepool, it all counts.

Hope Morpeth just award the League Cup tie to Marske.

This is all the more funnier after Ken Beattie let his fat gob go after the postponement on Saturday. Bet he wished he'd kept his trap shut now
Eh ! There was no score at the time, not 1/4 , and right near the end of the game, as at Shields

And? Floodlights went out, I thought any decent thinking team would award the tie to the opposition? It's just as much a fluke for lights to go out at 0-0 as they are at 4-2 or are suggesting something else?
