What has happened to Broad ? Bowling 70 odd mph

Two days in the field on a hot day, when the pitch's
It’s almost like we should have batted better first time

As I said on day two, this team's problem lately is less not having a platform and more not exploiting it by going big. We have too many batsmen content to knock over 40-70 and think that's alright. In the Ashes we actually got a few platforms, but couldn't kick on.

If we lose this game, the shots Stokes and Pope played early day two are where it's lost. Also, Stokes dropping Watling and Leach generally being shite. Couldn't hold an end down, seamers f***ing broke themselves.
Cracks all over the pitch now

Aye, but it's so soft and slow, you can dig out the grubbers probably.

It's been a very poor pitch in all honesty.

What the actual fuck was that? Woeful.

Joe Root what the actually fuck is that.

Someone needs to have a pair of balls and strip him of the captaincy. So he can go back to being our best batsman again.

He's looked awful. I'm honestly hoping for Burns to rack up big tons this winter, because Root needs relieving of the burden and there's nobody else.

No. Not Ben. Didn't work with Botham or Flintoff, it's too much.
Buttler would get my vote for captain. Root was a horrendous choice, never a captain as long as he has a hole in his arse

I think it must be really tempting to try and bash the odd one. Root was stuck in two minds and it was a really poor dismissal.

I understand the need to defend and see out the day, but couldn't we at least have a semblance of keeping the score ticking over? Having them getting more and more concerned as the day wore on, as 1 or 2 an over became 3 or 4, would take at least some of the pressure off.
