England in NZ

Five T20’s isn’t there?!

Looking forward to the Tests like.
There are. It’s a very weak squad as well

line up for the first (which is tomorrow actually) is Bairstow, Banton,Vince, Morgan, Denly, Billings, Curran, Rashid, Jordan, Mahmood, Brown

some exciting selections. But Denly and Vince in particular should be nowhere near

Denly is a decent bowling option in T20-need a 6th bowling option.

How on gods green earth is Chris Jordan still playing international cricket.
Decent t20 player, great fielder I don't understand why he wouldnt be.

Pleased some cricket is back on this T20 world cup qualification has been a hard watch bar the odd game. Like most said looks a weak squad but exciting in that there is a number of the next breed of players being trialled.

Back on topic
One look at list of white ball central contacts and you realize how much this X1 playing tomorrow is very much a 2nd XI.
Moeen Ali (Worcestershire), Jofra Archer (Sussex), Jonny Bairstow (Yorkshire), Jos Buttler (Lancashire), Joe Denly (Kent), Eoin Morgan (Middlesex), Adil Rashid (Yorkshire), Joe Root (Yorkshire), Jason Roy (Surrey), Ben Stokes (Durham), Chris Woakes (Warwickshire), Mark Wood (Durham).
Both Denly and Jordan are cover options for next year's IT20 World Cup.

New Zealand XI: 191-2 (18.3 overs): Munro 107, Kitchen 48*; Parkinson 1-38
New Zealand XI won by 8 wickets
