 aye winning games is terrifying
Do you watch games, in full or just check final results?
I think he missed your points which were well made.

Yes, Sunderland being tamed by the Shrews was embarrassing.
And no doubt Sunderland fans thoroughly enjoyed the dry humping we got off Norwich and Leicester. Part of football isn't it? But I wouldn't want you lot to go the way of Bury.

You are the atypical Mag mate. Aye let's forget about results because a certain Manager doesn't make us feel important.

Look, Benitez is clearly, clearly an excellent manager and definitely a tier above anyone we're likely to enjoy for a while. We could see that, and knew that if Ashley had allowed Benitez to build the club into the version of the club he envisioned, Benitez would had the ability to deliver on that promise. Some fans may have gone OTT on social media with their slavish devotion to him, but there's plenty of dickheads around.

What this comes down to is that some on this board truly subscribe to: Newcastle fans rate a player/manager/owner therefore he is overrated. Newcastle fans don't rate a player/manager/owner therefore he is underrated.

fwiw I don't think Bruce is half the manager Benitez is and 12 games isn't enough to change my mind. Especially when we've seen some truly abject performances already

There were plenty of abject performances under Benitez too.

I'm listening to Turtle Sport and all the mags are moaning about Bruce. "His substitutions arnt good enough" "He's happy with just avoiding relegation" are just two of the whinges so far.
The fukkers are devastated Bruce might actually do a job there as the cult of Rafa lives on.

Then it'll be easy for you to give examples that were as bad as the Leicester debacle.

*Man is shocked that a radio phone in provoked him, later he will be shocked that if you stand out in the rain you'll get wet.*
The next line will be “Rafa could have done better with this squad” even if he gets them
Top 10.
It wasn't, so what do you say?

Was I talking to you?

So you replied to someone who wasn’t talking to you, then decide I was talking to you after all? You’re a bit thick aren’t you?
No, I quoted someone who wasn't talking to me, then confirmed that you weren't talking to me, and were instead getting angry at your own imagination.

Also, I think you meant to type "So you replied to someone who wasn’t talking to you, then decide I was->n't<- talking to you after all? You’re a bit thick aren’t you?"

Who's the thicko now?

How dare west ham and Leicester city be allowed to overtake newcastle united!

Plenty of people on here saying the same about Barnsley Luton & Charlton overtaking Sunderland last season. And Ipswich Wycombe Fleetwood & whoever this. Depends whether you think football should be decided by reputation history support etc. Or who puts the best XI out irrespective of all the baggage from games played since the 1890s.

Which is also tragic. History is certainly something to be proud of, but it by no means signifies that you have any right to anything.

Tbf there's been no evidence of an safc, or any other club bar nufc, supporters group writing letters to potential owners about this type of thing.

Plenty of fan groups write open letters to owners.

Don't think it was particularly well executed, but writing to interested parties isn't the worst idea. If Newcastle fans can talk up the club to the interested party it might (probably won't) encourage them. Doesn't do any harm if well executed, but like I said I don't think it was done well.

I know fuck all about this kind of thing, but it just read a bit like a desperate plea, rather than an actual business proposal. Then again, we saw the BTech brochure that Kenyon was reportedly passing about so maybe this isn't as amateur as it looked...
Should have had someone proof read it, for a start. Too many grammatical errors for me. 🤓
