People turning on Parkinson after 1 game

Let's see how it looks after New Year. Teams are beating each other all the time, having good and bad spells.
Parkinson had the balls to play Burge yesterday, hopefully he can soon find his starting team and get some consistency into the squad.

I’ve said for ages as a collective our hard earned reputation as a fantastic supporter base is massively tarnished by a significant bunch of selfish self entitled morons. we still get great numbers but what a bunch of arseholes we are becoming as a collective

It's the straw that broke the camels back though. Ten years of mostly shite in the Premier league... But that's fine at least we'll win a few games in the Championship and be proud... Oh never mind at least League One will be fun for the season, potentially get to Wembley and win a cup as well as promotion... Ah okay then this season is our opportunity to learn from last season and finally have something to shout about...okay then if we get rid of Jack Ross and get an exciting new manager in for us all to rally behind... Oh wait we've appointed someone notorious for pragmatic, direct football which we don't have the players for.

After all that, I'm not surprised people are getting sick.

Could hardly have shown less ambition with the appointment.....nevertheless.....

Clearly from a tactical point of view yesterday is too early to judge if owners are right.

Perhaps most worrying was the complete lack of new manager bounce?

We are already 3 wins behind the top 2. Think you can safely say we wont be catching either place.
We dint score many but concede every game so in theory need at least 2 goals per game.
Our forwards are pisspoor so its looking bleak even sneaking into the play offs this season.

What Forwards?

not even counting yesterday's game as you've got to give him time

the club needed a lift though and appointing a manager known for mind-numbingly negative football that no one wanted other than SD was never going to provide that

he needs to get going or it'll turn sour very very quickly

Forgive me if Im speaking out of turn, and I understand how peed off you are at the moment, but I’ve got a lot of respect for Sunderland fans after our two playoff finals.

I’ve always found you to be knowledgable about football and fair minded, but I’m really surprised how many are slating Parky’s appointment and suitability. Surely he can only be judged on his results over a period of time, not after a few days in the job and one game. I get it that you would’ve like a bigger ‘ name’ appointment, but he’s a decent man and manager. Just give him a chance, if results are still not good enough after 10-12 games, you will know that the doubters were right.

I think you might be surprised, but if your players are not up to it, that’s a whole other problem that needs addressing. Good luck, and don’t give up yet, your fans are better than that.

There’s been hundreds of straws that have broken hundreds of camels backs watching Sunderland over the last 40 years. It had however been our class in adversity that has set us apart from the mags and many other fans. Slagging Parkinson off and the way fans have gone on over the takeover have shown us to be just yet another bunch of self entitled twats. We still have some great fans and support in big numbers but have turned into a collectively awful bunch of late.

This was the big thing for me it didn’t even seem like our players were trying to impress etc

I thought it was an OK appointment, he knows the division which is a step up on what we had. Give the guy a chance to take stock of what he has. Let's see if he's learned anything at all from the Wycombe game. That was probably the first time he's watched us play this season.

There are players yet to have a good game in a Sunderland shirt since they've arrived here, and that includes two Wembley finals they couldn't be arsed for. Do you really think they're going to turn a corner for a new manager at Wycombe Wanderers away?

They're shite. Either finished or not trying. Parkinson is going to have to polish a few turds.

I think Pearson and Phillips would have been a better appointment. I have never felt as negative about the club in my life. I almost can't be arsed with it all anymore. The football is atrocious, I don't know any of the players we sign or play against, dull atmosphere, mid table in league one. Honest to God man.
