Aston Villa Splashing the Cash

And we dislike Bristol more than we dislike Leeds. Every time you lose a game, it’s the ref’s fault, not your own team being beaten by a better one.

You are head the balls. That clueless ffp thread on your board is cringeworthy.

Anyway fcuk the Championship. It doesn’t matter any more.

Says the most cringeworthy poster on here...

As to the championship, it will matter to you again soon enough

Interested to see how they start the season. Obviously Spurs away will be difficult on the opening day but they next four are certainly winnable.

I’m not bothered about Abraham. I have doubts whether he’s ready for the PL. 2nd half of the season, he was mediocre and didn’t do a great deal in the high pressure play offs. I suspect that another striker will be joining in the next few weeks.

I’m not interested in Wolves either. I see them as no more a threat than yourselves. Top 6 is a target further down the line.

Is that 6 goals in 5 for Abraham this season

Still not convinced but fair play to him. Let's have a look at the end of the season.

Zero competition for him and now he’s scored a few his confidence will be sky high. Unless the lad gets injured he’s gonna tear it up for Chelsea this season. Roll on the euros next summer, some great young players coming through for England

7 now...Wesley will be lucky to get that all season.

As someone who watched him home and away last season, I think I'm entitled to my opinion (one that will most likely be proved right come May).

Tammy misses a lot more than he scores. He's had a purple patch against 2 poor sides (Wolves & Norwich). He did similar for us last season before becoming very ordinary in the 2nd half of the season.

To be clear - I have no grudges and love the lad to bits - I hope he proves me wrong, I just feel that he's not ready for the PL at this point in time.

Wolves and Norwich are poor sides ? 🤥
Not ready for the PL ? 😆

You are clueless about football.

I think I read last season he scored 6 goals and had 7 assists last season.Looking at that you’d think he wasn’t overly that important for us, but he was a talisman last season. He’s a natural , and you can see he has quality. He has been average this season , but tbf to him he’s had to drop deep, and the overall lack of movement for him from his team mates has hindered his play.

Hes a decent player just nowhere near as good as Villa fans make out

It's early days yet - he hasn't been bad, just hasn't stood out. There is a lot more to come from Jack Grealish.

And to add to 1874's comments, it's worth noting that Grealish stats last season include a 3 month lay off. Here's another stat for you - During those 3 months, Villa won 2, drew 7 and lost 4. Upon Grealish's return, we won the next 10 on the bounce.
