Aston Villa Splashing the Cash

And we dislike Bristol more than we dislike Leeds. Every time you lose a game, it’s the ref’s fault, not your own team being beaten by a better one.

You are head the balls. That clueless ffp thread on your board is cringeworthy.

Anyway fcuk the Championship. It doesn’t matter any more.

Clueless FFP thread, the one whos information comes from our 2 resident chartered accountants & Kieran Maguire (The guy whos job it is to look in to football clubs accounts), or is it cringeworthy because anything other than Love Island or TOWIE is boring to you?

I know FFP doesn't mean much to you, parachute payments are there so clubs can transition to the spending caps in the Championship, you obviously didn't understand this as you used them to break every transfer record & wage record in a desperate attempt to get promoted, selling your ground to yourself too. Cheats of the biggest order & hope you fail miserably.

Lots of weird stuff being said here.

Firstly, I almost spat my coffee out reading this. Considering your club has about 2500 supporters and it's just 4 months since one of you lot ran on to the pitch and physically assaulted a player from behind, then your post is rather hilarious.

Secondly, ignoring what Cridge says as he is just looking to piss people off here, we don't really mind Bristol City. You are very much likes wolves just a club and mean very little to us, whether it's positively or negatively.

This is also a strange statement to me. We have a huge fan base both domestically and abroad, and with the more fans you got the more idiots you will get. It's also worth noting since we had a spell over 15 years where we won a lot of different stuff domestically and in Europe, and these people that grew up with this are now between 35-55, so it's very likely supporters you talk to will have been used to seeing the club being successful to some degree. I am not sure that qualifies as calling them entitled wankers though, but that's me.
My only worry about Villa is that they may have bought too many and that it could become a problem. Having said that, I do believe they need to buy a good goalie. Steer may progress into a good top level keeper in time, but I'm not impressed with any of the others. Heaton would have been ideal had that come off.

Fair enough mate, "smug" would have been a more measured response but I've talked to quite a few younger than 35 who have inherited that smugness. Equally I know some 35-55 year olds who are absolutely sound. And to be fair, living in the heart of Villa-supporting Birmingham, I'm exposed to the worst (and best) Villa fans in a way I'm not with fans of other clubs. Anyway I have absolutely nothing against Villa as a club and wish you and other respectful Villa fans all the best for the season ahead.

If you mean Mr soppy poppy, the bloke is a clown.

It took him about 20 pages for the penny to drop as to why Blues were deducted 9 points. Prior to that it was "The EFL are too scared to pick on Villa so they picked on an easy target instead". That attitude for a start is both clueless and very silly. More silliness comes from most Bristol fans interpretation of FFP. They all seem to think that FFP means that nobody is allowed to spend more money than poor little Bristol because it's just not fair. Finally, the ground sale "loophole" that you are all up in arms about is not a loophole at all. There was not previously an ability to sell your ground. However, new rules allowed it. In order for it to have been introduced, it must have been supported by something like 18 of the Championship clubs. In the crazy, deluded mixed up world of the Bristol muppets, it's cheating and the EFL are too scared to stand up to big nasty Villa.

For your information, I am not looking to piss people off and if you bothered to read H&V instead of shitty VT, you would see that many can't stand Bristol after their mouthing off over the past few seasons. Also, I'd wager that a big percentage of our fans also cannot stand Wolves now after their mouthing off. I certainly can't stand them whereas before they were nothing to me.

He literally says in the first post why blues were deducted points so your post starts with a lie. I don't think anyone thinks people can't spend more money than us, that's really not how FFP works is it & we both know this so more nonsense from you. Finally, the 'new rules' allowing it don't have to be supported by 18 clubs? I have no idea where you're getting that from.

You massively overspent and were days away from administration, you had a winding up order in July 2018 because you were in such a bad state of money management. This thread is a classic, hundreds of pages of yoru fans worrying about you going bust so to try and claim you didn't massively overspend is just complete bullshit (Tony Xia).

You cheated the system, every season you overspent, it shouldn't have been allowed but fortunately for you the EFL have no backbone, as has been shown many times.

Another funny thread on your spending, I won't reply again so fill free to reply with a load of made up rubbish like before..

H&V is pretty much the dark hole where moronic Villa fans gather to talk about the 80's though. If you think that's the place to get an objective POV on the average Villa fan, well lol

What does this even mean? If we cheated we would be punished. We aren't, thus we didn't. Not our fault the system is designed to be taken advantage of. If you can't beat them, join them. Don't come whining cause you haven't figured shit out.

Give me H&V over VT any day of the week. If you don't think it's the place to get an objective point of view, try the Bristol forum. The hatred for our club on there is frightening.

He is a first class cretin. He posts a lot about something he knows little about and the thread is pointless. As I said, the ground selling is not a loophole, it is something that has been introduced. I am of the understanding that for amendments/additions to the rules, 75% of the members need to be in agreement, which works out to 18. You'll probably find that your own club agreed to the amendment. After all, it would be pretty hypocritical of them if they didn't, given your ground is owned by another company. Do you not see the irony of you chastising others for something your own club is doing? Unlike Mr Soppy, Villa DID know the rules and were in constant communication with the EFL all season. Carrying out an action that is pursuant to the rules is not cheating, much as most of Bristol idiots want to make the rules up as they go along.

Now let me tell you a thing or two about Mr Soppy. Post number 1 is clueless. Then on May 23 (4 months later), he still hasn't got a clue and he suggests that Birmingham take the EFL to the CAS (Court of Arbitration for Sport). The next day, 3 days before the play off final, he claims that Villa and Derby should be kicked out and that the final should be contested between Leeds & WBA. There are also claims that the EFL won't punish Villa because Prince William is a fan. It's ridiculous and extremely childish.

Then the breakthrough on the Birmingham matter. June 21, almost 6 months later, the penny drops for Mr Soppy and he comes out with this absolute gem:
"Part of me wonders if Birmingham only got punished and it only excelled beyond a soft embargo because they took the piss and acted in that ridiculous manner."
Of course that is why they got punished. Good job they never took the case to the CAS after all isn't it.

The bloke is a top notch clown who knows nothing. The thread has stretched the realms of sanity to beyond breaking point, fueled mainly by his misinformed drivel and half of the others hanging onto his every clueless word.
