We bowled a couple of maidens with Robson playing and missing twice so now we have found our bowling rhythm umpires take them off for bad light
Drat,,,,!!

Looks like my 'unbeaten run' will end tomorrow.

As usual the break in the middle of July for the T20 seems to have thrown a spanner in Durham's Championship works.

Batting fourth and third day should benefit the lads. I’m going for a hard fought win
I hope so. A couple of early wickets would change the game, and I don't think Middlesex would fancy the run chase so much. Durham should have scored more runs, but this could be close.

Most important morning of the season coming up, if we don’t win this then promotion will become very difficult. Two wins from two in September against teams looking also to go up is a very tall order.

Don’t remember a morning session for Durham being this vital since Taunton in 2016 where a win would have made us favourites for our fourth Championship - truth I suppose is, Durham haven’t been relevant since then and whilst not going up this year would be by no means a disaster, I feel we need to ride the wave of momentum that has unexpectedly built up this season.

I don’t think anyone on here would’ve predicted promotion so to still be in with a shout of it in September is a credit to the often maligned players and coaches IMO.

Whatever happens, we are going in the right direction.

important to pick up an early wicket

in other news, BJ Watling is the new signing. Another keeper batsman. Whats happened to Poynter?
2 down!

Well he won't be here next season what with the change on irish players.

Watling is a class batsman, better than Bancroft and handscomb. But we need to win today otherwise it might not even matter
