Will we sign anybody before 5pm Monday?

Without panicking I think we need a new left back and an attacking winger with pace. The main thing we are lacking still is energy in midfield but we have Dobson, he needs to be playing especially away from home.

Mesel I’d get Maddison in and a LB then Big Vic on a pay as you play deal. If he can’t play every game then we revert to the crap we’ve already got who seem to be fighting each other NOT to play. We won’t be any worse off.
Should ask Heskey to come out of retirement, probably still better than Wyke and Grigg.

Big Vic pay as you play.

Kevin Kyle still playing

He’s backtracking now, something in one of the Sunday rags saying it’s not that they don’t rate him, he’s just not rated as worth 2.5m

If I have to choose between whether it's Darragh McAnthony and Barry Fry, or Richard Hill, as to who's telling the truth, my money's on Hill over those two cheating bastards. £2.5m for a L1 player in the last year of his contract is ridiculous. If he's so great, how come no Championship team has gone anywhere near him? Simply fact is, they don't think he, and his associated personal baggage, are worth that much either.

2 full backs a winger and another forward....and they've all got to be better than what we currently have.

It's frightening how much we rely on McGeady to be our main threat, if he gets injured or has an off day (like yesterday) then we're fucked!

Dobson and McGeouch need to be playing in CM and we need to find a lad upfront who can get into double figures, I can't see any of our current lot managing it whilst other sides in this league seem to have at least one player capable.

I can handle the side getting beat but it's the blatantly obvious lack of quality and plugging of gaps thats really pissing me off!....it's going to be play offs again if we fail to get anyone in.

Wyke and Grigg scored plenty of goals in this division until they played for Ross.

Grigg did, Wyke didn't really. I think the manager doesn't get the best out of anyone, but yesterday again highlighted that Wyke simply doesn't take enough chances and we don't make 10 a game for him to get lucky and not spoon one over the bar.

My worry is players we bring in now should all improve the team. Last season was the one for getting bodies in. Last week he still preferred 09 to the new right back and lynch not in the team. It lynch is for cover it tells me flannagan and Baldwin are not good enough so why are we not getting rid of one of them. Worrying signs for me from the team management side of things.

Maybe a panicked loan?

A chairman shouldn't get involved with the playing side, but I wonder if Dross has a new email in his inbox asking 'are you sure you don't want anybody else, perhaps a midfielder?'
Why would it be a "Panicked loan" when the manager has been clear about his attempts to sign a left back and it's been widely reported on here and elsewhere that we are in talks with a couple of PL clubs about a loan

We've got lads who'll get double figures. We're not getting the ball to them

I do agree with that but our forwards aren't dynamic enough, there's no pace, trickery or urgency.....mind, you could say that goes for the whole team.

If we don’t sign some proper fullbacks and MM we aren’t serious about going up.
It's a comedy of errors Phil,
Maybe it's the takeover that's holding us back signing any players ?
Its incompetence at best :(
We need Maddison , another centre forward with actual pace and a left back. We aren't gonna buy another centre mid with the amount we have on the books already. It's a case of getting the right balance in there with enough mobility to combat sides who are up for it, so we arrest control of a match when it's tasty and not just sit off to ride it out.
Our management team are a bunch of f***ing amateurs, how can we be so disorganized?
They knew Oviedo was away so they let James go !!! . A new left back was essential and here we are 3 or 4 weeks later still waiting to sign a competent left back.....it's astonishing, incompetent and makes my piss boil .

Dobson pissed Ross of with comments post match ( cant remember which game ) and hasn't started a league game since....f***ing pathetic man management from a poor manager who is way out of his depth....

Maddison strikes me as the kind of player who's too good for this division but he's also the kind of player you can't see at a Leeds, Derby, Forest etc, more likely at a club like Reading, QPR or Preston once they get Desperate, still a lot of question marks about his personal life and behavior that will put off a lot of clubs unless he proves himself in the Championship
