If/when this deal goes through, everyone needs to pull in the same direction. All those that have stayed away since our relegation, need to return.

This is a huge opportunity and we need to get behind the club. Let’s start by pushing our average attendance to over 35,000 and getting the Prem Concourse back open

That's my hope too. Donald has tried to be as open as he could be about the club and he's had to have a few conversations he probably didn't envisage having with people due to the way he has chosen to speak to the fans (Twitter). I don't think he's daft enough to think the idiots having a go on there are representative of our fans in general and there will be a proportion of them who are not Sunderland fans at all trying to cause as much upset as possible.

I think he's done a great job in the short time he's been here and no one saw this coming. Those that try and pull this deal apart can be quite rightly labelled as mags and given plenty of shit.

More guesswork from me but I see this as a catalyst to motivate local people/business, the council, MP's, etc to invest time, money and effort.

I don't believe the Dell people will be arriving with cases full of money to throw at the area.

And it would be crass to engage in any John Hall style Geordie Nation stupidity imo. We all have an interest in our club and we'll all feel better about it if we pull together rather than just watch money being thrown at us.

Like I said earlier this is 95% guesswork 4% gossip and 1% actual info. But I feel so confident I've stuck my neck out and said this will definitely happen, the investment is serious and the plan long term.

If this all goes wrong I'll probably leave the board in shame tbh.

Must it be one way or the other? How about throw a bit of money at all aspects of the infrastructure. Sustainability plus acquisition of talent where we need it now.

If they do invest in Sheepfolds though, more in a club way than anything such as a sporting village, another hotel for concerts etc. then that brings money in to the club as well as more footfall in the city and likewise you would hope that would encourage the council to do more work in the town centre. Did I recently read about a potential pedestrian bridge from the VAUX site to Sheepfolds area or am I imagining that?

I would hazard a guess that the Callaghan brothers would welcome any opportunity to sit down with the MSD crew and discuss ideas and opportunities.

Any young ambitious talent will look at Sunderland in a different way if this all comes off.

"Dad, I have two contract offers, one from groundless aimless Coventry and the other from Dell backed Sunderland. Coventry are offering more money, what do you think? "

That bridge has been getting mentions ever since the SOL opened to be fair. No idea if it’s ever been an actual plan but it would be welcomed by a lot of people.

The walk from the town, over the bridge and through Sheepfolds, may be quaintly nostalgic for us but its really messy after a night match in the rain. A footbridge to the ground would really boost the pubs and other businesses around the theatre area imo.

Also, I have to say, the area down the back of the Deafy, burger van alley and the railway bridge is frankly disgusting.

The council need tazering into action tbh.

Spot on mate,i unfortunately think those pulling the deal apart arnt all mags.I said on here yesterday why are we having post after post asking how many of them are billionaires.When this is rubber stamped they will move onto wheres all the big signings then even if window is closed.
