I think they are jealous and mad that we are not going over the top abut this. If MSD do an "Ashley", and I hope they do not btw, will that mean we have to shout at every Computer shop in the world? We have seen this before so we are just hoping that we continue on the road to be a decent football club.
Not going over the top? You’re kidding right? That whole thread is way over mate
There’s going to be rivers of tears if this falls through
I wish folk would just keep calm. The amount of daft twats tweeting Donald anarl is embarrassing
I’m keeping schtum with everything crossed until it happens

Well I am not going over the top about it. I am keeping schtum like you.

My pal has been doing various radio interviews about this today and I asked could he get a dig in. I am away so haven't heard it but he reckons he said that Dell might prefer Sunderland to the Mags as they’re still using Windows 95 in Newcastle :)

"Why are they buying you lot when they can us?"

That's the one I got. But it's not just us it's any club. MSD didn't just wake and buy us. I doubt they even decide after talking to SD and CM. Obviously they sold them a vision and things like STID helped. But they can't gasp that these people run the rule over things before buying. Just because they have a massive fan base and nearly won the like 25 years doesn't mean they'll be queuing up to buy them.

Lets be honest, the reason we are an attractive proposition is we are largely debt free, have had the STID exposure, are getting 30,000 attendances in league one, have huge potential but are cheap due to where we are in the pyramid just now........Its an absolute no brainer for an investor, huge club that would cost hundreds of millions in the top flight but those 100s of millions will be able to be invested in players etc as there is no debt and no buy out price. If this does come off, the double relegation could actually end up being the best thing that could have happened to us in that it undoubtedly got rid of Short, resulted in SD and CM becoming involved whose connections are these investors. Big club at the right time and because of where we are the right price too.

I don't understand even the thought process. If we're bought by MSD were bought as an investment. If we're bought by the people we'rebought as a passion project they're actually interested in. The latter would theoretically be better.

I'm pretty sure it's the former like but still

Tax mate, tax!
