Me and the girl were in The Continental last night. Love that bar. Decided for a laugh we would try one of the Geordie shore bars for one on the way home. Went in the above. Fuck me 😂

£8 to get into the worst bar in the city. Asked for a whisky and they only had Jim beam. Instead asked for beer and it was summat like coors or nowt. The bar bloke treat my lass like she should be grateful just to be in there. What the fuck do people see in places like this man. Fair play to them for making it a success but I really can’t get my head around why it is.

It was canny funny.

When that bar first opened, it was quality. As with most bars in town after the chav element cottoned onto the place it went rapidly downhill.

I don’t mind Floritas like :lol:, House of Smith is shite mind.
 
About 6 years ago I used to go after work every Thursday and it was decent , 2-for-1 until 9pm and free entry. I wouldn't dream of going in there now.

That House of Smith bar was the biggest piss take. Absolutely nothing going on in the place but charging in and ridiculous prices.

I guess people will have said the same about the places I went to as a kid, but £3 trebles in infusion didn't feel as pretentious as what that area does, even looking back

Thing is it was dirty and full of scruffs. I couldn’t work out why exactly people were paying. The continental acosss the road is such a brilliant bar and is free. Pleased I went in though I’ve always fancied a look in.

It was £8 to get in. Fuck knows what the drinks cost I’m not arsed. I just didn’t know why you need to pay.
 
Them sort of places are always full of creeps. The type of basics who watch love Island and that, proper capital listening, missguided wearing, 8 year old fiat 500 driving hairdresser types

They aren't classy establishments, and as you say I don't get the appeal, its proper tacky

Nee idea. Had tapas at 8 and was maybe in 2 hours, hour in the continental so maybe 11.30pm we went in. Was a good night. We were expecting it being shite so that didn’t spoil things.
