Watched The Killers set last night. Fuck me, they're horrible these days. The front man now looks like an American doll to replace Ken and has opted for a kids entertainer approach. Shouting Oh oh oh through the opening song, worra gonk. Looks even more odd that the rest of the band look like hairy truckers.

Hot Chip were fuckin class. What a band.

This.

I’m not a killers fan but knocking them for the way they look then praising Hot Chip who look like absolute shit is funny

Bass and guitar player don't tour anymore ,looked like brandons normal on stage banter .Puts a shift in I suppose .I find Marr sort of unnerving .He's like some replicant with an alien inside the way he observes the world.Cliff Richard and Macca's lost cousin

i decided to check out her show cos she was ( alledgedly ) a bit like Janet Jackson ( who i do like but who was shit on saturday ). ....but i watched her first two songs and they didnt grab me at all so gave up on her. Can you recommend her best tune ?
This opening medley is from Glastonbury 2011 but it shows her all round skills off. She pisses all ower Miss Jackson, sorry.

Idles were f***ing brilliant - I hadn’t even heard of them before yesterday, but my Marra told me to check them out. Great performance, raw, edgy and not the bland safe shite that 95% of Glastonbury is these days

Likewise I thought they were superb for the very same reasons.
No way 95% of Glastonbury is bland and safe though. I’d argue it’s more likely 5% safe and 95% exciting, new and interesting.

The thing is you only see on TV four stages (Pyramid, Other, Park, John Peel). However, there is 120 stages in total. It really isn't bland, if you wanted to watch raw edgy punk rock then you could do an entire day of that.

I'd also advise you to check out Fountains DC if you like Idles, they were superb and have that same raw power (took me a few goes to like them mind) also it wasn't televised but Slaves were superb as well and are very much similar to IDLES.

They had some stuff on from West Holts as well but fair point.
