Why don’t the 14 clubs in the top flight...

If the top six went into a European super league you could have two cracking and competitive leagues of 20 with the 14 who are left, the 24 Championship clubs and two from L1.

Properly organised and run it wouldn't matter about the revenue loss as you wouldn't need it to either get into the top league or stay in it once you get there.

Its just settling for second best though. Who really wants to be competitive in a diminished competition. In Checkatrade territory where Luton have finished best of the teams involved.

I think you might have got a better reception off some on here if you used predictable rather than boring. Although when things are predictable it does get boring.

If the top six buggered off to some European league that's fine with me. We'll see how interested their supporters are in it having to shell out hundreds every other weekend to watch away games. Of course with whatever replaces them is just as likely to become another league dominated by the richest clubs.

If they do ever piss off, no FA cup or League cup entry and no starting a second string for them.
Exactly, call their bluff. New TV deal fairly distributed, capped ticket costs. If they want to leave, they can. Can't enter any UK competition and if ever come back it is at county level and have to work up. UEFA and FIFA don't allow any players in the super League to play in their competitions.

It's so easy but the authorities are so weak.

Which is fine if they are spread around.
I agree. personally i love watching any footy but let's not kid ourselves, Sky aren't in it for the fixtures I mentioned.

in recent years less players have been poached by the top 6. other clubs can afford to hang onto them thanks to sky money.

The real issue is the clubs like ourselves spunkin money left right and centre on dross on and off the pitch. ie. bad management

That's not really how it works though. There are hundreds of millions all over the world contributing billions. I enjoy watching NFL and NHL and pay to do so. The way they distribute the money if far fairer than we do here. Obvious reasons how they can and we can't but its not the income that's the problem. It's how it's distributed and to who.
Completely agree. It's in the power of the authorities but they won't do it.

Competition, the thing that is sadly lacking in modern football apart from when the flat track bullies have to play one another.

If these clubs went off and formed an NFL style league they'd have no need to look back or come crawling back. It would be the biggest show on earth and would consume every international penny going. The champions league would be meaningless. Everton v Bilbao doesn't have quite the same appeal. Hopefully it'll never happen as it'd be garbage for fans of those clubs. There'd be no away fans for starters

That's Bollocks tbh. What Norwich and Sheffield United achieved this season was far more difficult than winning the Checkatrade trophy.

Let them crack on. Personally I think genuine fans would hate it after two seasons. Armchair fans bored after ten.

I could be wrong. But let them get on with it.

I bet they wouldn't dare do it really, especially of FIFA refuse to let players enter a world cup which they should do.

If the top 4/6 fucked off to a super league, it would absolutely cripple English football.

Overseas broadcasters won’t pay billions to watch the like of Sam Vokes and David Nugent battle it out to be league champions.

If anything we should be handing a disproportionate amount of the money to the top teams in the hope it convinces them to stay.
Sadly this is true

So the too six leave, sky pull out and BBC take up rights for 80% less. All clubs left pay 80% less wages and still make a profit. Arm chair fans win by now getting it for free.
But then the goal would be to be where the so called Big Six are though.
