Crowd for sat

Booze has a lot to answer for as well. There will be a canny chunk of people who won't put anything before a couple of drinks. They probably won't admit it, but the match will be getting in the way of drinking time.

At the Doncaster match the other week the little'un needed the toilet about 10 minutes into the second half. I couldn't believe how many people were down there drinking pints and acting casual as if they were in a pub. They seemed to have no intention on going back to their seat.

Let’s not forget that whilst we’re disappointed in the potential attendance it will be second highest crowd that Pompey will of played in front of for a non cup game this season, the highest was also at the SOL

Also Charlton are making a big fuss about selling 20000 for their home tie with Doncaster

not that we should be bothered but it's going to look awful on the tv like and will get picked up on

North stand is going to look almost empty
It is a shame but months of turgid negative football and waving the white flag at Wembley have for many taken its toll.

Hopefully we can get up via the playoffs but lessons have to be learnt by Ross and the management team

I see what you mean but it still doesnt make it a good turn out just because you're comparing it to other League 1 clubs.

Absolute BS. Yet another excuse man, just f**king turn up no matter what instead of acting like spoilt bairns.

Crowd will be directly affected as a result of the garbage of performances procured by Jack Ross. It's not rocket science.

I guess we will see next year if we are in League 1 AND Jack remains manager and continues producing dire football.
Average will drop below 30k and probably head towards 25k if we are not challenging for a top two place by Christmas.

Was exactly the same at Wembley which is even more bizarre!!

This. The atmosphere at matches is always dead after the 35th minute exodus, does this happen at other grounds?

It's not an excuse.....Some fans are pissed off at the slow, ponderous, no style football and are entitled to go or not....You have spent the last month having a go at fans but Ross and his team in your view are untouchable, end of.

It wasn't a go at you but one in particular who has spent the last weeks having a go at the fans but has missed games this season himself and in his eyes the manager and team are blameless.

I'm not your pal and entitled to say what i want.
Im delighted you arent my pal, you are taking that out of context. You can absolutely say what you want and usually do. I reserve the right to challenge you as i see fit.

About 5 years ago we had some very expensive corporate tickets as a freebie at Man City, I don’t know price but if they were £500pp I wouldn’t of been surprised, and a lot and I mean a lot never went out to watch the game

I'd say getting promoted is more important than the Checkatrade final. But maybe that's just me.
I agree completely with that. However the league is over and this is now a separate competition. So how can this be our lowest home attendance?

One of the worst excuses I've seen so far is "it's too late to take the kids out". Which to me translates as " if I go to the match with the bairns I can't get pissed, so will buy loads of cans and sit in front of the telly".
