Sorry like but you can’t compare the football this season to mccarthys style, at times we have played some nice football considering it’s league 1 playersYeah compared to the following tika taka style we have been playing all season.
He’s a past it manager, not sure what people’s obssessions are with going back to old managersHis play off and promotion seasons were class.
His top flight season(s) weren't, but we're in League One.
It would of been eventfulMick McCarthy and Roy Keane as his assistant would have been tremendous

i dont think he is past it-the last team he managed went sharply downhill after they binned him/He’s a past it manager, not sure what people’s obssessions are with going back to old managers

Always liked McCarthy to be honest, he would have been perfect to take us back up. Would have much preferred his experience rather than give another rookie a chance to blood himself.Funny how opinions of our ex managers seem to improve on here after they’ve left.
The only ones to buck the trend are Moyes and O’Neill.
The whole standard of the league is terrible. McCarthy teams play decent stuff. He also had to build a team from scratch here, at Wolves and Ipswich with very little money. I know RoI have played 2 games under McCarthy but the standard and morale have been the best it's been in the last 3 years.Sorry like but you can’t compare the football this season to mccarthys style, at times we have played some nice football considering it’s league 1 players

Nice one Mick, love it.

His teams don’t play decent stuff at all, the morale at safc is the best it’s been in yearsThe whole standard of the league is terrible. McCarthy teams play decent stuff. He would of been 1 of my last choices to take the safc jobHe was still showing he was a highly capable manager in the second tier just over a year ago.
Doing well with Ireland in the qualifiers, granted they haven't played decent opposition yet.
Schteve runs him very close. He's the worst one for it as well.
Is it? It's been better than the last 2 years alright but I wouldn't say it's the best in years! Also, I was talking about the morale of the Irish squad not SAFC.His teams don’t play decent stuff at all, the morale at safc is the best it’s been in years
Exactly you have to be careful what you wish for. Good squad of Cork boys over for the Pompey game.

Not really bothered about the morale of the Irish squad. Of course it’s the best in years you just have to look at them on the pitch to see the atmosphere and togetherness of the teamIs it? He can’t comment on any club getting relegated after the 15 point season. I still haven't let that go. The f***ing bell-end.
