Sorry like but you can’t compare the football this season to mccarthys style, at times we have played some nice football considering it’s league 1 players
The whole standard of the league is terrible. McCarthy teams play decent stuff. He also had to build a team from scratch here, at Wolves and Ipswich with very little money. I know RoI have played 2 games under McCarthy but the standard and morale have been the best it's been in the last 3 years.

His teams don’t play decent stuff at all, the morale at safc is the best it’s been in years

He was still showing he was a highly capable manager in the second tier just over a year ago.

Doing well with Ireland in the qualifiers, granted they haven't played decent opposition yet.
He would of been 1 of my last choices to take the safc job

Is it? It's been better than the last 2 years alright but I wouldn't say it's the best in years! Also, I was talking about the morale of the Irish squad not SAFC.
Not really bothered about the morale of the Irish squad. Of course it’s the best in years you just have to look at them on the pitch to see the atmosphere and togetherness of the team

This is a class comment...

"He’s a striker isn’t he [Shane Long]? Some chump said to me, ‘aw you’ve got to get two up front’. F**k off. We played two up front in Gibraltar and hardly had any shots. We played one, well three up front, here [against Georgia] and had far more chances and played better. It was just a different game, one team sitting in and making it hard, the other team pressing".
