I think it was 2001, we beat Ipswich 4-1. Was only 4 mind so remember nowt other than Phillips notching

I’m sure it was us vs York in 1998 at home. I can remember bits but I was only 6 at the time so can’t remember a great deal.

5th August 1992 friendly against Spurs was my first, 3-0 defeat and an Anderton hat trick. My first league game was against Barnsley on 5th Dec 1992, won 2-1 Mickey Gray scored in about a min or summit. I was buzzing, stood in Roker End.

My first game ........... Sunderland AFC - Statistics, History and Records - from TheStatCat

April 1975 - I was put in the Roker End to stand near the floodlight adjacent the Main Stand by my Dad who then went to stand in his usual place in the paddocks of the Main Stand and he said not to move and he would come and get me at the Full-Time Whistle.
At Half-Time everyone around me started to disappear and I got all confused and thought it was Full-Time. I started to panic when my Dad didn't turn up and got really upset.
Then the people started to come back and the players came back out and I realised.

I can't remember any of the match as I was too nervous being left on my own and so young (7yr 11mths).
Next game I was a lot more confident and began to enjoy going to the match.

74-75 season. Can't remember who against but we won. The most memorable thing was the atmosphere. It was Electric. I'd never witnessed anything like it before in my life. The Roker End became my spiritual Home:D

August 1990 sunlun 0 spurs 0, don't think i watched much of the football was staring at the noise shapes n sounds coming fromnthe fulwell had me hooked instantly, and the main stand roker wing paddock was where we remained til we knocked the auld place down

September 1995

SAFC 1-0 Southend

Russell 40th min goal, Kevin Ball Red card 60th min. One of my very few visits to roker Park.

First I can remember is Carlisle in the cup in 1974, left school early as the match was played on an afternoon because of the power cuts. We lost of course, surrendering the only thing we're likely to win in my lifetime, few Sunderland fans can have been a supporter for so long without seeing them win anything.

I think I'll pass if we go back to Wembley

Both me and me da can’t remember mine. 68/69 season. He reckoned I didn’t enjoy it. Still don’t tbh. Enjoys the wrong word with safc isn’t it?
Away was York 74/75? Won 4-1and it was 95% safc fans as iirc that was our derby game that year and was on a bank holiday weekend. Didn’t see any of the goals either.
