Could have went to spurs but was asking for 20k a week :)

Snide little fucker belongs in some backwater french team

I will give him a bit advertising on rtg tho

you really have no clue, carry on slating a 20 year old though who is earning thousands a week and trying to progress his career by playing for a better team than us currently.

Set him a deadline to sign up, then the club messed around for weeks. Then waited until the end of the window to overpay for Grigg. The uncomfortable truth.

One week deadline set 29th December
Jan 4th Sky break news about him rejecting contract.
Signs for Bordeaux 26th Jan
Grigg signs 31st Jan.

what did you expect Wigan to just sell Grigg for 1m? Maja to just move straight away?

That's just not how these things work.

Hahahaha aye Bordeaux ?
How better are they than us ?
I'd like to hear this one
better or bigger ? Haway then

What benefit would the owners "spinning it to win the fans over" in this situation achieve? surely them signing Maja would have won the fans over or them spending £3m on Grigg would have won the fans over? One they achieved, one they couldn't.

No reason to believe what the owners said about him, why not? Keith Downie who broke the news via Sky about him not willing to sign the contract also explained it and it and he was the one who first questioned Donald on it, when Donald didn't even know. Why the fuck would he make that up? Obviously the owners have looked to cash in rather than keep him to his contract, so in that respect 'spinning it otu' would suit them, but what would suit them more is not having to fork out another 1.5m than they received on Grigg wouldn't it?
Don't think he actively fucked us over, probably was gonna sign then his agent got wind of this Bordeaux move. I'm guessing the owners chose to sell to make sure we get a sell on clause for him, because for the money we got hardly seems worth it and as you say we spent more on Grigg. Maybe he didn't give us an option.

6 times French Champions
4 times French cup winners
3 times French league cup winners
Champions league semi finalists, cup winners cup semi finalists, uefa cup runners up all in the last 20 years, and most importantly of all NOT PLAYING IN THEIR THIRD DIVISION.

Not that spectacular considering how poor the french league has been over the years.

His agent will have been testing the water elsewhere given his increase in standing over the previous six months and Josh will have simply held us off till the offers came in. Looking at how January went I don't think there was a chance he was ever going to stay one he got wind of PL and foreign interest, be it in January or the summer. I don't blame him for taking the opportunity I just think he could have done it better. The owners just tried to do their best to get a bit of money back rather than 200k in the summer and probably made mistakes in taking him at face value.

It happens, but as a SAFC fan why on earth are SAFc fans on here up in arms about fans of SAFC wanting him to mess up as if it's stupid? He doesn't care about us and it's harmed us both financially and probably on the pitch. there's naturally going to be a bit of bad feeling because of how it ended.

Have you seen the standard of the froggy league
Hard,y competitive

f***ing hell this place is a joke. Imagine thinking somehow staying here and possibly playing in the third division next season again was a better career move than going to the top flight elsewhere.

I remember seeing highlights of Khazri when he arrived and his trick of scoring from corners which I think he gave up on here after managing it once. He done it often over there and the standard of keeping a few years ago was abysmal, not seen much since mind.

Maybe not but saying it’s somehow anything other than a good move from the third division to a club playing in their top flight is absurd.

Your the f***ing div man actually thinking some shit french team is the great step up from Sunderland
f***ing french shit sub aswell deary me
