Didn't some Sri Lankan do that to Buttler when they were here last? And wasn't it him that had something said to him after getting out in Bangladesh which pissed him off big style?

The Sri Lanka one was out IMO

I don't have a problem with it like if you are stealing yards, that is the rule, but Ashwin was into his bowling action, stopped, waited till Buttler was out and then stumped him

Its against the laws!

He did it because he knew he'd lost the game at that point. no chance I'd have shook his hand like

I'd love it every slow bowler does this to Ashwin in the rest of the tournament.

I still thought the Sri Lanka one was a bit dodgy as he wasn't gaining loads of ground, certainly no more than any other batsman but if you're warned and get runout like that I think it's on you.

I like how many Indian fans are backing him up (and surprised by the quote from him on there, thought the coaches would have told him to show a bit of regret) whereas every single player comment has been pretty forthright in saying he was out of order.

And once he aborts his action, then waits that long, the ump should call dead ball. Even then, a good captain would have withdrawn the appeal.

I've got no problem with mankad as long as it's a fluid action, but the waiting is the key.

I couldn’t agree With you more, you’re spot on, he could have done that to any batsmen and they’d have been out of crease because he stopped half way through n waited

The worst part is him saying it was instinctive as it’s one thing it wasn’t. He wasn’t even out of his crease when he stopped so how could it be instinctive

He’s done it to win the game pure and simple

I’m enjoying it. I binned sky but to have it for free on sky channel 729 is spot on

I did notice that bt sports is showing games this coming week. I hope it’s still going to be on star gold 729
