So can we catch Barnsley?

If we can get Grigg some decent balls to his feet, or through the channels, we can get to 2nd place imo.
That’s the frustrating thing though, our defenders just hump high balls up from the back over and over again and we must concede possession from it 90% of the time. We’ve done it all season and keep doing it so I’m assuming it’s under instruction from Ross? I just don’t get it.

Need Doncaster to beat Barnsley, we beat Walsall, then we are in a better position before last night....

Once it gets to 7 points adrift, it's the dreaded play offs..?

Our recent form is better than Barnsley, they've had 2 recent 0-0 home draws and will lose at Doncaster.

They've looked shaky since they hit 2nd and the pressure is getting to them.

Yes we can catch them, we'll beat Walsall and things will look a lot different.

We have 3 consecutive home games, in April, and they'r'e all games we can win.

Barnsley have lost twice the games we have and will lose more from now on as well ...

... we'll be fine.
Sounds possible, but remember we didn't win our games in hand

I think us Luton fans really thought last nights win was a crucial one, very easy to have slipped up at Bradford after two long away trips, awful weather and pitch etc. We have been pretty lucky to have a stable team and both us and Barnsley have very solid defenses and a system that work. We could still fall away but feels like the home run now, five wins from nine definitely enough but probably four or even three will do - you have a lot of games to play on top of each other - you will deserve it if you manage it

Duck me, if we win our game in hand we are 1 point behind them, it’s not really that hard to catch them is it? It can all change in 1 game

We can, they are favourites though and probably on their day a better side

We will grind it out, just can we enough games and score enough goals is the question

Two minds.
We have the tougher run in + our games come so thick and fast after the final.

Having went last night couldnt help but feel Barnsley play a slicker brand of football to us.
I feel Ross needs to have a go,Onein to the middle,a gamble on Kimpioka?

If anybody at this stage had asked me if we could stay up when in the Premier League under Allardyce or Poyet I'd have said no.

When push comes to shove at the end of the season results for anyone can be random for any team - and I think we have the talent available to step it up a level. The league with 10 games to go is wide open for anything to happen - we just need to keep going and keep believing.

There's no doubt that Barnsley are looking over their shoulders, last night they could have dealt with us but didn't.. there's only so much pressure they can take if we can keep applying it.

Experience will count massively. Barnsley will falter. Barnsley fans saying last night first time this season they have seen Pinnock ruffled. He made a lot of mistakes. Moore scores a lot of goals for them which are going to prove harder to come by. Think they will get beat Friday. They were fucked last night by 80 minutes.

Keep the faith lads’n’lasses

It’ll be the playoffs, I reckon.
That exceeds my expectations for this season, yet I’ll still be strangely disappointed.

It’s weird. The goals are fairly thin on the ground, but our play when creating them looks like these lads have something about them. I’m a bit surprised we haven’t administered some hammerings.

At this stage of the season and the pressure building on the teams anything can happen, I’m sure Barnsley would of been thinking at home them 3 points would of seen them in a very good position to us, I’ve no clues how the rest of the season will go, but it’s not beyond the realms of possibility that we could be ahead of them in 3 games time, we could also be to far away, I just don’t get the people who think we have no chance of catching them

It doesn't.
People think we should be walking the league because we are a huge club at this level. But we are a huge club with severe financial restrictions and with a burden of expectation that the others aren't carrying.
I'm not at all sure why solid but ordinary pros like Baldwin, Flanagan, Maguire, Power, Gooch and Matthews would be part of runaway leaders.

I kind of agree except for that point, we have way less financial restrictions on us than every other club in this division. We have outspent every last one of them combined this season. If that is restricted how much would we have spent if we didn't :eek:
