Best place you've ever been

Went to Thailand last year and spent some time in Bangkok and Koh Samui. By far the best places I've ever been. Amazing people, beautiful sights and a complete break from normality.
Where's your favourite places, and why?

I love Miami and New York equally.

New Zealand North & South islands, though I visited Edinburgh for the first time recently and loved it, could see myself moving tbh

What was New Zealand like? I've heard it's good if you like extreme sports, but I'd be terrified of half of them

I go to Paris every year and I find it to be boring to be honest. I went to Santa Monica and Venice Beach when I was in my teens, should probably go back as an adult and reassess.

San Diego coast, Palm Springs in the desert.
Lived in both and though not traditionally beautiful the coast and beaches are wonderful and the desert and San Jacinto Mountains is magnificent

California, lots of beautiful places in the world, but just the service you get in the states is something else

Probably Tokyo a close 2nd, best city Ive been to for sure

Went to those two places as well and then went to Tijuana for all of about 40mins. My ma' and da' were terrified.

Tijuana, trolley down to the border in 20 minutes. Walk past all the pharmacy shops and it's a different world.
Better at the weekend as they have no regard for drinking age so the place is full of young Californians.
I was single then:lol:

Perhaps I'm sick of it (I've got friends there so go over when there's a Eurostar sale) but I just find it to be rather small. I reckon a lot of it might be to do with me just knocking about with my pals where they go drinking but I've done all the touristy stuff to death. The Metro f***ing honks as well and I know it's a cliche but Parisians are bellends.

All about opinions. I like the aloofness, and general attitude of Parisians. I get why they get labelled with being arrogant but it genuinely doesn’t bother me.
Out of the centre / tourist parts, I love it equally around Canal Saint Martin, Republique, the Marais, left bank and Pigalle. All different but all great in their own way.
The metro is lifting like but it’s convenient and cheap ( compared to the tube ).

Lived in Osnabruck, but visited a few places while I was there

Sure it’s a lovely part of the world. Never made it there but spent a bit of time in the likes of Wuppertal / Essen which is in the same neck of the woods. I’ve very fond memories of the place.
