Would you accept no promotion?

Sorry but all the people who won't accept it - what will you do? Stamp your feet, kick the dog? Please tell me in what way won't you accept it? I'd imagine it would amount to being very angry on a message board.

You lose a few thousand from the crowd when people vote with their feet for a start. Do you think we’d get the same crowds next season if we don’t go up?

the exact same is going to happen to benji, he will leave at the earliest opportunity IMO.

May well do, but as per Stewart Donald’s podcast you sign a contract and play - maybe get a decent move or you don’t, you won’t and take your chances on who picks you up

When we were relegated last season then the new buyer came in they talked a lot of sense about people not taking the p1ss any more and us moving up.

I thought great, a chance to look to the future. Bring some young lads through, consolidate our place in League 1 and sign some young lads permanently. Using the lads we had left from the past as the experience to bring the younger ones on. Cattermole, Oviedo, Matthews, McGeady, etc.

Then I feel like we’ve missed a great opportunity to rebuild the right way. We’ve set off on a journey to chase promotion at the earliest opportunity at all costs. Grigg signed pretty much confirms this.

If you had a choice would you like a slow rebuild if we done it right, possibly not getting promotion this year. Maybe staying in this League 2/3 seasons. Or would you rather we made the current ilk of signings to get promotion this year?

I’d even hoped we’d be offered the chance to buy shares ourselves to gove the supporters a seat at the table, even 5/10 percent would have been nice.

If we don’t go up this season, there’ll be no-one left next. Well no-one you would want. The promising young ones would be gone, anyone who performed this season would be gone. We’d be left with Ozturk, Loovens and Wyke.

I was asking the people on here what they would to show they won't accept it. My guess is that if they have season tickets they will get them again. I'd be interested in what the people on this thread would do in not accepting it.

It’s a total failure if we don’t go up, players like Oviedo, McGeady and cattermole already in the squad plus other players who have always played leagues above. Also have spent nigh on £5m in league 1.

Fair point. I’d still end up renewing and being a moaning kernt on here like. Nowt else to do on Saturdays is there?

Its such a strange question - everyone saying they won't accept it if we don't get promoted. I'll be extremely disappointed but I will have to accept because without a doubt I'd be getting a season ticket.

I won't "accept" it , but I won't throw my toys out the pram if we don't go up. This club needs stability and a long term plan. If it means a couple of seasons in L1 then so be it

You would start to see League crowds of less than 20,000 in my view. It would be a disaster.

On what I've seen so far this season, I think we'll struggle. Quality just isn't there, team of grafters with heart, but that will only carry you so far.
