Are these french coonts going to drag out paying for him and leave us scrabbling around last minute....Can see us holding off spending till he's gone, understandably by the way, that's not a dig at the owners.

We've never tried that one beforeWe all know it won't be made official until near the deadline day, therefore leaving us with the perfect excuse as to why a replacement wasn't signed in time![]()

Maja's negoshyating his loyalty payment.....
What are you on about man, the poster I was talking to, said the club was equally to blame, not even talking about him
You are weren't talking about maja on a maja postWhat are you on about man, the poster I was talking to, said the club was equally to blame, not even talking about him
What trick have we missed mate? We've missed a trick. Needed to build around budding academy talents such as Josh.
Try reading it back, it would help. I was referring to the club which I think is fairly clear since I said “ so your claim about the club being equally to blame, is incorrect”and yet you responded withYou are weren't talking about maja on a maja post
Correct!I really don't think I am being unreasonable here, I'll say it even though I'll get dog's abuse, but they got such a good deal to buy Sunderland, surely relatively small debts like that could have been cleared by themselves, meaning any sales of players, especially our best talents, can go back into the first XI
Surely that is part of the deal when you get such a big club for cheap, to sort some of the debts yourselves, its why you are getting it so cheap. If you buy a football club, I'd have thought things like this you are expected to sort out initially to get things rolling.
You had any likes recently?Try reading it back, it would help. I was referring to the club which I think is fairly clear since I said “ so your claim about the club being equally to blame, is incorrect”and yet you responded with
“Blame for what ? He is doing what I would , get the most while you can”
I don’t think I have blamed anyone anywhere on this thread, other than an insinuation that his agent is a snake.
Nope, I have some catching up to doYou had any likes recently?
Can he speak French? Parents are Nigerian iirc
Nigeria, where’s that? Can he speak French? Parents are Nigerian iirc
How could you build around Josh Maja? He made it clear he wanted to be at Sunderland and all his terms were met including a pay rise of seven times his salary. He, not others, then reneged on his decision and his agent, in my view, has played a large part in this. It doesn't matter what you say, I believe it was a non-starter from the off and now the dilly dallying over the contract for months makes sense.
His agent has bought him a pair of tweezers from his cut of the deal.Hope he has splinters
Sunderland have this afternoon confirmed the departure of top scorer Josh Maja, who has joined Ligue 1 side Bordeaux after a long and protracted saga over the player’s future.
Whilst various fees regarding how much the club are set to receive have been bandied around over recent days, it’s our understanding that the club are only set to receive around £1.5m from the deal - and the receipt of any future installments is dependent on a variety of factors and clauses which, of course, depend upon how successful Maja is over in France.
The kicker, however, is that the fee itself may not actually be placed back into the club’s coffers due to an outstanding payment that has still yet to be made to Bordeaux for the signing of Wahbi Khazri, who was brought to Wearside in the January transfer window of 2016 by Sam Allardyce.
Sunderland still owe Bordeaux a sum which is almost as much as they’re set to receive for Maja, meaning that the fee will not be available to Jack Ross and the club’s recruitment team to immediately inject back into the club.
That said, we believe that the club are still committed to bringing new players to the club before the window shuts, and that was always the case even before Maja departed.
With just six days left until the transfer window closes, the club are faced with needing to replace not one, but two forwards - Jerome Sinclair’s departure following his return to Watford means that we still need to ensure the void that he left behind is also filled.
