Don’t think you’re being unreasonable at all. Valid points I think but I see it a different way. We don’t actually know if any money was outstanding for Khazri but it’s suggested that there is. Even if there is, it is only a fraction of the overall debt that was left owing to player purchases. Most was payed in the summer and the remaining totals are due next summer. It’s just standard practise to have deals such as that. Why would anyone pay a large balance before it was due if there was no financial reason to do so?
However, we do need the owners to be investing in the next few days and buy very good players for this league. I have a feeling they are trying to but I also feel they are struggling to spend money at the minute for whatever reason. Maybe selling clubs thinking we have money? Maybe the post saying we won’t get money is safc playing a game?

Yeah true like, I am just speculating

My basic point is Short wrote off a 100 million

We then got 15 mill in transfer fees in the summer, if we had a few million left over to owe, surely its not unreasonable to ask the owners to clear that up themselves, thats like 115m quid of money into the club that didn;t come from them, it was very favourable for them

Why would they clear it themselves? It's the clubs debt not theirs.

Also, if we've already got an agreement to pay in instalments, it makes sense to keep it going to allow for restructuring, building up cashflow etc.

Just means the club is better run, starts from a fresh, read my post above

100 mill from Short, 15 mill in from transfers on players they didn't buy themselves, I don't think its unreasonable to clear up existing debt when its a few mill when they have had so much income to the club that wasn't there doing.

The reason they pay it is that when we sell an academy player the money isnt going to pay off debts, think they coild have already been sorted.

I am beginning to think they haven't got any

Well I wouldn't say that, I dont think they need to flash the cash on players or anything, but if there is a couple of million left on Khazri, they could easy have paid that off themselves, got the club even and then use any income from player sales for transfers

Is what you would expect from new investors IMO, I doubt many will agree like. I'd say this if it was Niall Quinn and Monty buying the club by the way, nothing to do with whos in charge.

We've missed a trick. Needed to build around budding academy talents such as Josh.
How could you build around Josh Maja? He made it clear he wanted to be at Sunderland and all his terms were met including a pay rise of seven times his salary. He, not others, then reneged on his decision and his agent, in my view, has played a large part in this. It doesn't matter what you say, I believe it was a non-starter from the off and now the dilly dallying over the contract for months makes sense.

Bizarre move for him. Manager clearly no idea who he is, stating he is nowhere near first team ready. Way to go Josh, perfect move to really take your career to the next level. Why play week in week out being mentored by a manager who rates you highly and is willing to spend time to get the best out of you when you can play the equivalent of Conference North level reserve football for slightly more coin?

How can we when he behaved like a kid and refused to play for us?

Players have to want to be here.

Not to worry. At least his agent has his cut of his transfer fee to cry into.

Poyet very publically bemoaned board interference when he was there. They sound a bit mental mind.
