Ferrari have sacked Arrivabene - new broom for 2019?
Closest they've been to success in recent memory, and they replace him. Poor move imo. Merc have the winning habit, and Ferrari need time to adjust from "hail mary's" for wins to racing as a lead team.

Lauda in hospital again, with flu. I can hear him demanding the last rites from here, the attention seeking bastard.
Really hope he's back on the grid soon. He's a interesting bloke to have around F1.

It’s too late for anyone new to influence the 19 car - can only assume if you’re making changes behind the scenes now it’s with one eye on the 2021 reg changes...

Harsh on Arrivabene when you consider it was, in large part, driver error that cost Ferrari the opportunity of either beating or challenging Mercedes to the end for both titles.

The Ferrari team have been found wanting when it comes to key decisions under pressure.

It seems this has been allowed to be transmitted to the drivers as there have been instances this last season where the drivers have been needlessly further pressurised for poor team strategy or poor team decision making.

Vettel in particular dropped a few clangers which were very public but what we don't often see is the team dynamic which may have been distracting him.

Mercedes don't appear to have this and Hamilton seems able to simply get on with it for the most part.

Arrivabene was a prickly sometimes difficult character but got them closer than anyone for a decade so the new bloke has a good base to work from.

Very good summation. Next season should be interesting

I see the Ducati MotoGP team running the Mission Winnow livery, same as Ferrari...

It appears to be Phillip Morris, not advertising Marlboro & not really advertising anything - anyone know what Mission Winnow is actually about?

Their initiative to phase out tobacco from their business model. They're aiming to completely replace fags in their portfolio and it's their related initiative to reduce tobacco consumption.

A tobacco company aiming to remove tobacco from their business model? Or am I a meringue?
