that is a common sense approach. so to think about logic. maja in his own mind wanted to stay. Otherwise why would he ask to speak to the manger and tell him.

Maja then gets home and tells his agent what he has said.

For agent to his bigger cut, he has to force through the deal to elsewhere

He cant ask his player to retract. He would have to go face to face with SD to tell him, but he is then in line for some serious questions and the agent will look untrustworthy and lose face.

so agent phones up tv company and gets the tv company to break news to SD. SD responds and agent then has a go (I am lead to believe as I have not seen what he actually said) at SD, trying to make SD look like the baddie. This also ties the players hand and he now has to go along with it.

before anybody thinks that is far fetched, think back to the Bridges and Johnston transfer saga of 20 years

Market and methods must be incomparable to 20 years ago.

Piss or get off the pot for me.

Why didn’t he sign yesterday if he wanted too?

Least it’s happened with 3 weeks of window left.

No urgency to sell , clubs should get a decent tribunal fee based on - Academy status , apps and goals.

Half of Donald Love’s wage. An eighth of Cattermole’s wage.

How is that proving a point ?

He is a very good finisher. I would like to know his conversion rate, if it’s anything better than 1 in 3 then we should realise he’s not going to keep this goal scoring rate up.
The last time I checked which was a while ago the best strikers in the world were all about 1 goal in 3 chances.
Cisse at the mags had about a 70% conversion rate at one point, by the time he left let’s just say it wasn’t quite as high.

Well that’s 2 hours of my life reading that I’ll never get back
What I’ve taken from the thread... there’s a few posters with very weird agendas on this board.
There’s s lot of posters who either don’t work or spend their entire time posting on here.
Lots of posters convinced Margaret Byrne is his agent. She isn’t!
I like the transparency from Donald. It’s refreshing. If he was offered what he asked for and is now refusing to sign, I’d rather we got rid.
He’s 20 years old. He knows what he’s doing. He’s another greedy little shit who should take a step back and evaluate what he has.

He's not a SAFC fan, in his position we'd all do the same.....

Just got a message that his Nigerian agent is the fella responsible for this deal....

.... seems quite a few similarities ? Be a reet pisser if he goes abroad and we get nowt, what's the point of being in the E f***ing U !?
gardiola shouldnt have said owt to the papers like..piss the agnets off apparently..

When he scored 10 it was 10 from 14 shots on target. Not sure what it is now

Not conversion rate but his goals per minutes is second only to one other player in the league.

According to the expected goals thing (I know, I know) we don’t create nearly as many chances as the other teams at the top. A big reason for the disparity between our expected goals and our actual performance is Maja’s clinical finishing.

If the club have offered him anywhere near 10k a week, unless that’s dependant on promotion, I’m glad he’s turned it down! We need to be sustainable and learn the lessons of the past god knows how many years rather than paying more than we can afford.
You’re glad he turned 10 k down yet we have Cattermole on 40k a week ?
Makes sense

Not if it is an international transfer as it goes under UEFA rules not The FA rules. so by all accounts it will be peanuts.

That means agent can push his fee up and possibly Majas wage as club will not have to part with transfer fee

Because we are a professional outfit and not some idiots plaything. If you start with this, the club reputation is brought into disrepute and agents want nothing to do with us in future. Additionally, it’s likely that Majas agent is also the agent for other players that we have and we still need to deal with them in the future. Can’t just “tell them all to fuck off” - if only life was as simple as you make out
Utter nonsense. Agents are out to make money. They will deal with anyone if the price is right regardless of what has gone before. Our owner is to be commended for outing gutless players and avaricious agents.

If we can't convince him to stay today and his deadline passes.. Sell him for what we can get and reinvest in a proven striker at this level... Maybe the lad from Gillingham.. Eaves.

We only want players commited and who want to be here.. I fear we have lost this one so need to act quickly and move on which I'm sure S. Donald will do..

Remember one thing Maja the grass isn't always greener on the other side.. If you leave thanks and good luck.
