New Music Releases Thread

You know what, that 1975 record is actually quite good. Gave it a listen after it was discussed on the latest Chips of Chorlton podcast. At its peak its just great pop. A little bit too much filler though.

Chips is also a great podcast, its by Dutch Uncles and they just chat shit about the music industry and chips. Are there any better combinations? Some brilliant and funny stories from their touring days, and a lot of insight into the industry.

Not new as such, but the 1995 album by Elecktroids has just been reissued. Put out by Warp originally it’s just resurfaced again.
Massivelt Kraftwerk and Detroit techno it’s well worth a listen.

Likewise...

Surprised you've gotten into the Helena Hauff album. What do you think of it? Requires speakers that can shift serious amounts of air like.

Heard a band today called Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard who are class. Wear double denim though which is a crime for some on here

I finally settled on a best of the year 2018...

1. Parquet Courts - Wide Awake
2. Jon Hopkins - Singularity
3. Craig Armstrong - Sun On You
4. Olafur Arnalds - Re:member
5. Haiku Salut - There is No Elsewhere

Hookworms, Ezra Furman & Ryley Walker hung around a bit on my playlists longer than others - i really liked Egypt Station from Macca but this thread is far too cool for school to allow that... Based on other peoples posts i'm cramming on Spiritualized at the minute (too late in the day for my top 5).
Didnt know Craig Arrmstrong had a new cd out but got it for Xmas and absolutely love it - thanks for the tip.

There's an album I don't really understand at all. After the debut, which I think is excellent, this just seems really bland. As far as I can hear, it's been liberally sprayed with essence of Shakatak. I like most of the rest of your list... think I missed HMHB off mine.
