Forest “fan” picking on a Derby supporter

I've watched it. Nothing outrages me but it's difficult to watch to be honest.

We live in a society whereby people judge how well they are doing in life by how many retweets or likes they get on a post. So the Forest fan probably thought 'Ill look so good and get 200 retweets here by making fun of this lad' and precedes to act like a total bellend and bully him.

He comes across as a nasty bastard and he probably thought he'd be a hero be doing this. Instead he looks totally the opposite. Fairly low thing to do - the lad clearly looks a bit intimidated.

Well done for Forest by condemning it so quickly. If he's identified they should ban him from the City Ground for life. I'd like to think if it was one of our lot, SAFC would do the same.

Some people just arnt wired up right. How can you take any pleasure in acting like that towards a vulnerable young lad? People with disabilities have it so tough without being tricked into situations like this. Behaviour like this can do irreparable damage to their confidence and attempts to live as normal a life as possible. Vile.

I've got a disabled nephew. Two wrongs don't make a right I know but I'd have ripped his f***ing head off his shoulders.

I was almost sick watching that. My 19 year old daughter is disabled and doesn't have a nasty bone in her body, same as that lad probably doesn't. I know it sounds dramatic but knowing so many people with disabilities through my daughter, seeing things like this breaks my heart .

My problem with this is that I've intervened in a fair few situations like this after I've decided something was unjust.

When the bully has ended up with a broken nose I've had people screaming 'there was no need for that'.

It's easy for people to advocate 'rough justice' on here but my experience is that people often turn against you when it's meted out.

The police will often take the side of the person in the pool of blood which results in a loss of my time and money.

I've now taken to keeping in the background because I can't rely on my fellow citizens to have the courage of their convictions.

It’s wrong, reprehensible on every level..but imagine if the same lad was pictured wearing wearing black and white in The Bridges.

I’m sure everyone be as virtuous and defend his right to wear his top where ever he wanted..

What if what if? Condemn our fans if/when it happens. Likewise if the reverse occurred in the metro centre.

Vulnerable folk have 100% immunity and the public recognise the need to look out for such folk. I'm sure in such a situation, kind hearted people would spot a potential problem and keep an eye on things. I know I would.
