Eat 5 fruit and veg? Ha I can hardly bring myself to get out of bed somedays.
Drink excessive amounts? Aye because it's the crushing pointlessness of life has to be blanked out somehow.
Activity? It's -2 now for 5 month a year and gyms are full of twats.
Don't smoke so I'm winning

Seek help mate.

Great post in the HYS bit

"My mother never smoked, barely drank, exercised a lot, was never close to being overweight; she's now enjoying the benefits of a long life, spending £60,000 a year on a care home to sit in pain, incontinent in a chair, whilst sliding into dementia and telling me she wishes she was dead."

That is a downside of the medical professional and no right to die.

people need to be shamed into getting off their fat arses and stop eating shite at every meal.
It'll make fat and/or emotional people cry but this is true.

Tom Segura lost nearly half his total body weight and he openly admits fat shaming works :)

When did they decide that and what evidence can there be to say it makes a huge difference?
Bit like any diet recommendations, doctors don't say it because they get free veg off farmers .I'd argue some stuff you read but not that a combo of fruit and veg every day is good for you

I know people have emotional issues etc etc but eventually people need to take responsibility for their lives. Just because the chocolate at the supermarket is piled high, cheap as fuck and yummy doesn't mean that you have to eat a shit load of it.

Life's hard, it's not easy going through life without being offended or upset. But being disciplined and controlling your diet can help with that.

Studies have shown that physical and mental health are often linked, who's to say that you are fat and get upset, could it not be you get upset because you are fat.

This lass always springs to mind like

I live my life the way I want to and couldnt give a toss if it shortens my life. They can put the pension age up as much as they want it doesnt bother me.

Feels like that's more an argument for euthanasia than for not living a healthy lifestyle tbh.

My dad drank like Oliver Reed, smoked like the marlboro man, and had the shape and colour of Grimace. He died of cancer at 58.

I'm going to suggest there's a happy medium.

The motivation to be healthy certainly gets harder the older you get. It’s a piece of piss to do loads of exercise when you’re young, not so much when it takes you 2 days to recover from a brisk walk.

People aren't unique, they're just a bunch of animals.

It's society that changes.

We like the easy path but are more fulfilled when life is more difficult. It's ironic that all the technological advances and convenience that we have in life turns people into lazy messes. It is a vicious circle as well. The less you do, the less your mind wants you to do. Same with calorie laden cheap shite food.

You have to work at it but it is easy to remain reasonably fit. Over 50 and you have to do more rather than less.

People have become lazy, greedy cunts.
Kind of agree, kind of disagree.

Looking at how my parents and grandparents lived, the amount they drank and smoked and the shite they ate (and fed us as kids), there's a far greater focus on healthy eating and living nowadays. We keep a far keener eye on what the bairn eats and the amount of exercise he gets compared to when we were kids.

Then again, obesity and associated problems is on the rise, so clearly plenty of people are choosing to ignore the advice they're given.

To an extremely small proportion, I imagine. Weighing up the possible harm, I wouldnt fancy making that judgement to shame myself.
Well it depends on the level of shame.

I don't think we should be calling people fatties in the street but I also don't think we should be taking down ads celebrating healthy figures or simply admitting that being fat is ugly and bad for you.
