Yeah but that's higher up, once you get below Yarm it's a lot better. Struggle to get above 70 on the higher bits anyway. To be fair there’s a lot of accidents on the A19.
Im at a lose myself tbhGot a ticket for travelling at 70mph on the A19 (A168) around the Thirsk area in a Peugeot Boxer van because it’s a goods vehicle.
What’s all that about? (Ps I know the 60mph craic etc etc but haway man, f***ing pathetic!
They targeting white van man now?
Ok got the nobs out of the way.
Basically stayed on the A19, stuck at 70mph, without turning off, which becomes the A168 heading to the A1!! Been doing that journey for years. Anything I can do re this because they must have targeted every man, van and his dog with this ffs

This will be a mobile camera.I seem to remember hearing rumours that cameras will soon check license plates (for vehicle type) and speeds in real time - but I didn't think it was actually going to happen!
I’ve been caught three times in the last two years. As usual everyone's a saint on here. I feel your pain mate should be allowed a bit of leeway on good bits of dual carriageway like the bit you were on. Never see a camera van in a town when the kids are going to and from school etc where they actually might do something to make the roads safer.
I was in Morrisons last week and there was a sign up saying thieves will be prosecuted. I only nicked a bottle of vodka, jobsworth security guard stopped me and got me prosecuted by the police. Fuckin arsehole.
So you know the speed limit is 60 and complain because you were caught doing 70?
But they’re
This hasn't gone how the op intended has it
Motorways are 70 like but.Knobs, aye we’re making a joke but you were 10mph over the speed limit.
60mph on all motorways and dual carriageways.
Not sure what your point is.
This will be a mobile camera.

But at no point have I whinged on here about it and said how unfair it is.
I see it loads.Been caught before and taken it tbf. My point is, in 30 years of driving I’ve never been targeted by a camera re the type of vehicle I’m in. If this is the case now, good luck to every Transit travelling south!

Jibes aside, I'd be annoyed as well. If nowt else it's a wake up call and you've probably done a few a favour by being an early victim and posting about it on hereBeen caught before and taken it tbf. Aye but... He wasn’t on a motorway.Motorways are 70 like but.
70 on motorways init? Not that it matters in this case like, he was on dual carriageways.
Check out what classification of vehicle it is e.g. M1 or N1.I see it loads.
Is it a panel van, crew van, tourer?
I believe car based vans can do 70. It's his own fault, if he hadn't been on the phone he'd have noticed. Not in goods vehicles. The OP seven says he knows the limit was 60 in his opening post
