Elite Dangerous

Still running trade for Omerta. I hope it's helping ? @Slippery Jim
It certainly is! The war in Canarigui is doing really well. We've got 77.7% INF in the system so should be taking control of it in the next few days and as soon as that war ends we'll be expanding out of LTT 47 into another system.

If you're looking for credits them Massacre Missions in Canarigui are paying out around 10M to kill 90 ships in the CZs.

This is for @Giddup Sausage!

How to succeed in piracy:

Location: any agricultural anarchy system in boom.
Cargo target: Low Temperature Diamonds (no manifest scanner or wake scanner required)

Equip your Ship with good shields, a Frameshift Interdictor a hatch breaker limpet controller and as many collector limpet controllers that you can fit, and at least 128T cargo bay. Fill your cargo hold 70% full with limpets.
Best systems to pirate in are Anarchy Agriculture systems in Boom state.

Enter system, stay in supercruise.
Be on the lookout for T-6, T-7, T-9, Keelback, Asp, Diamondbacks, Pythons or Kraits (I've found all these ships carrying Low Temperature Diamonds.) Scan them in super-cruise and look at their equipment (sub-targets), if you see a mining laser they have Low Temp Diamonds! If after you've given it a couple minutes and you're not seeing any targets meeting the criteria, just slow and drop out of supercruise and retry. If they also have Point Defence then don't bother as they will shoot any limpet you launch.

Once you find a Target interdict them and IMMEDIATELY fire on the prey once, to get them to turn aggro. Otherwise they will hyper-jump on you regardless of mass or FSD cool down.

Don't bother trying to take out power plant to shut the ship down, even if you manage they're a bitch to try to stop dead.

Important, put full pips to shields and throttle to 0 speed. Do not move, your victim will also stop about 1km away from you and will just fire on you, then fire your hatch breaker limpet, hatch break and collect with limpets, while shield tanking.
Once the hatch breaker limpet attaches, fire off as many collector limpets as you can, they will go fetch the dropped cargo, when the hatch breaker limpet falls away fire another one. keep doing this until no cargo is left or your cargo hold is full of diamonds.

I run quite a few collectors as I hate seeing my precious diamonds die in the middle of space while waiting to be collected. Use A rated hatch breakers as the minimum cargo released is higher. I use B rated collectors because the max distance is better. Its important that you stay still during the entire theft, A: to keep your victim in once place and B: because your limpets are retards and will explode with your precious cargo if you are moving too fast.

Once you have run out of limpets and collected all the diamonds, sell your loot to a black market in an Anarchy system, you will get 70000 - 117750 per ton of diamonds so 128T of cargo can net you 9M to 15M credits , I can easily find 128T of diamonds in about 30 minutes that's approx 20M /hour.

By no means a gold rush, but one of the most fun ways to earn semi decent credits.

Trying to build a bounty hunter/combat zone corvette, but I cant get it right. Wanting something like the above but it doesn't have the juice.

@Slippery Jim how the hell do you build a corvette that doesn't break the power threshold?

Last thing I want is to deploy hard points and the ship to start shutting down. :(
I've since bought a second Vette and kitted it out exclusively as a wing ship for CZ operations. It almost has the God Shields of my Cutter (which I'm using for Low Temp Diamond piracy - see above) but also has healies on the 2 Huge Beam Lasers to regen wing-mates' shields. Basically I just sit still and kill anything that moves as there's no need to re-arm.

Seems like a lot of changes, hope there not just for changes sake.

Interested in seeing how the discovery and mining changes work.
Finding HGSSs is a doddle now.

Loads of things are broken, as usual after an upgrade but I'm really pissed off with the new Mamba as the landing gear won't retract. Apparently FDev were told about this during the beta but still released it anyway.

What's hgss?
Is the mamba a visual glitch or does it make the ship useless? Can't jump with landing gear down can you.

High Grade Signal Sources. Its where you find G5 manufactured materials.... except FDev have reset the system states of EVERY star system in the galaxy so they can introduce the new background simulation. This means you have no idea where to look for them until all the factions start changing states again.:evil::evil:

Advice from FDev regarding the undercarriage on the Mamba is that when you jump to supercruise or FSD it will retract - which it does - but then I found that when you try to re-dock your ship tells you it has requested to dock (it hasn't) and locks the docking screen so you have to go out to the main menu and log in again.:evil::evil:

There are so many things wrong with the game! Here's a link to just the PC bug reports so far: PC Bug Reports

244 logged with another 292 needing further information before they can be logged properly. It hasn't even been live for 2 days yet!:evil::evil:

A couple of more game-killers I found last night:

Our squadron (OMBH) are Anarchists and we've been pushing the BGS in our systems by pirating Low Temperature Diamonds and selling them in our black markets. In 3.2 the BGS actually improves Inf in a system when this happens for Anarchies but is detrimental in any other system. 3.3 fucked that up and now EVERY Anarchy faction in the galaxy has dropped 10-20% in each of their systems.

Another way to increase Inf is to start a war in your system. They've introduced a bug where if you target a legitimate opponent in a Combat Zone and kill him you get a bounty, Notoriety and the Rapid Response Cops are called out. Thia happened to me last night.:evil::evil:

So in the middle of a war zone the cops show up and kill you?

Well I had a little go of it yesterday and couldn't make any sense of the changes they've made. It's going to take a while to get used to it again.
The biggest gripe I've always had with FDev is that they never explain how you actually do something. I had to go to the forums to find out how to get the new FSS to work and I stupidly equipped a T9 with all the new mining gear and went out to a ring system - came back 15 minutes later after firing sub-surface charges etc to no avail and wishing I'd never bothered.
