Ah OK mate, happy to be put right. Would a Goan Vindaloo resemble anything like the BIR version though?
Not really. I said earlier on the thread that I use the Hairy Bikers recipe, that has potato in. I tend to use pork not lamb as well as I’m poor.
 
had a few of the Volcanic Vindaloo's which are quite tasty by supermarket curry standards like

not hot enough though so definately need to give the Phall a try
 
Had the Fiery Phaal on Saturday for lunch (dinner?). Was hot (not insanely so) going in - I apparently was bright red and was sweating from my bald spot on my crown. Felt the glow for a good couple of hours afterwards. The following day's toilet exploits were pretty non-descript. In my opinion, it was a nice hot curry, with some good flavour but no hotter than a vindaloo from a takeaway.
