New Music Releases Thread

A friend is mates with most of the band and I've been repeatedly told to listen to them but never bothered to, definitely worth a listen?

Last album was a bit dull, though that song which goes 'motherrrrrrr fuckerrrrrrrrr' plays in my head at least once a day. Will give the new one a spin this weekend.

Saw Jason from Sleaford Mods on Twitter giving them a load of shit for being middle class wankers trying to act working class. Soon deleted. Think that lad needs a break from the internet for a while.

Think he has. He posted on twitter saying he’s wrapping it in due to the grief he got. Maybe brought it on himself

Anna Calvi surprisingly good
Idles is good too (didn’t love them live mind)
Mogwai is just mogwai. Excellent

EOTR highlights included Fat White Family, Flat Worms, Jeff Tweedy and Richard Dawson

Oh and really enjoyed Szun Waves

Anyone heard Big Red Machine yet? Record by one of the Dessners and Bon Iver.
Actually heard yesterday as we had some friends over and one of them was playing it. I have to say that I was not impressed, seemed sort of blah as nothing really caught my attention from it. However, I will probably give it a more dedicated listening.

Sean Lennon has posted 4 hours ago to say that the Beanpole album is now on streaming sites. This is a 1990s Les Claypool side project that never got a release and Lennon’s Chimera Music label have finally given it a release. I’ll listen tomorrow.
