Latest boxing crack

This Tyson fight on now. Not a scrap of advertising on the ring floor, ropes, corners or on the boxers trunks.

Feels like the 19th century but in colour

I missed Everlast on the corners but it's barely visible

But he didn’t, so fair play.
Warrington v Selby?

I was thinking about that earlier and I think it will be. ITV putting Eubank Jr vs that random Quinlan on PPV setting the trend and a few choice other poor ones that followed and then even White vs Parker, a bit more respectable but still a million miles from what should be - there'll certainly have been worse PPV fights on paper. 2 big stars in their respective large cities both with big wins on their records and with BT Box Office all set up now, I'd be surprised if it wasn't.

The bigger question is where will it take place?

Golovkin-Canelo
Joshua-Povetkin
Groves-Smith
Usyk-Bellew
Wilder-Fury
Warrington-Frampton
Khan-Brook

All either confirmed or very likely to be PPV before the year is out.

Disgrace really, £140 worth of fights right there in less than 4 months, 3 in 13 days - definitely a case of picking and choosing. I'll buy 3 or 4 of those I reckon. You can't really blame ITV / BT either, Hearn / Sky started the main trend. The odd one here and there where you if 2 fighters were big names and you wanted the fight to be in the UK like Froch-Kessler 2, you can just about understand it, Joshua-Klitschko, by all means, but all this building a 'PPV card' and 'PPV fighters' after having one PPV as the B side is absolute bollocks.

Oh the joy. All coming to bt box office. Might get in touch with Tyson fury to see if he will pay for me, as it's not all about money for him

You can do something without money being your primary motive, whilst still getting paid your worth.

Fury seems a lot happier and stable in recent interviews, even compared to when he first announced he was coming back

I agree you can but haway, pro boxing is all about making money in as short and uninjured period you can.

Why go pro, if money is no object or motivation?

  • Golovkin-Canelo - Youtube the next day
  • Joshua-Povetkin - Probably buy, brother likes him and 2 decent enough fights on undercard
  • Groves-Smith - definitely stream
  • Usyk-Bellew - probably stream as I don't really like Bellew and can't see it being competitive no matter how much Tone tries to hype it
  • Wilder-Fury - reluctantly buy and stay up - hate staying up these days, but big fans of both these fighters
  • Warrington-Frampton - buy if a decent undercard
  • Khan-Brook - Stream now. I like Brook and had wanted this fight for years, but after GGG/Spence and neither are spring chickens now, this will just feel like a cash grab and a 'loser leaves town' fight rather than a massively significant all British showdown
So probably buy Joshua, Fury and Frampton fights.

Will probably cave and buy the Golovkin and Fury fights but will take a chance on streaming the rest.

I'll buy nen and watch them all

It’s already started and it’s doing my head in !

Warren, DiBella, Wilder, Fury, Finkel gibing themselves credit for getting the fight made and signed when no fight date or venue is in place ‘

it’s obviously gonna be easier to make a fight between one of the least credible WBC champions in a longtime and a fighter that’s had 3 years off and needs a hell of a lot to regain the credibility he has snorted away compared to a making a fight between Wilder and Joshua massive differences in revenue potential, splits, broadcasting the lot
