I already know it's a sad as fuck pastime so no need to tell me but does anyone else do it ? I started about 4 weeks ago and it's became a bit of an obsession now. There's 54 different ones in circulation and at present I have 15 and I'm not stopping til I have all 54.

The rarest one is of kew gardens which can sell for up to £100 on ebay. It's class checking your change and finding a need amongst it.

I save them. I used to have the Kew Gardens one but the Mrs (no) took it for parking one day, stupid cow. I keep them in a more secure location now.

Better be careful there fella, as loads of fake ones about - currently have 24 and a rare £2.00 first edition coin. Sold some duplicates as well mind - had them in my change jar. So 30 to go then for me - have a mitful in my change bottle (1 liter whisky bottle) but do not check till I have a load. Been collecting for a while now mind but end up getting more duplicates than ones I want.

Just been in my loft as i knew i had a couple. 2012 london olympics. Cycling and basketball. Also 2 £20 coins and a fiver one which i never knew i had.

Was over in Mexico 86 they had a 1 peso coin which was worth at the time about a 25th of a penny,same size shape and weight of a 50p coin.started collecting them to bring home for fag machines and bandits,had well over 200 in my case until some theiving nicked my case at the airport.
